“Outstanding and Memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

A quite outstanding meal from start to finish. We went for the set meal at 30€. The menu is only a rough guide, as extra courses materialised from time to time. Staff circulated with dishes, offering to add to your plate. The emphasis is very much on local produce and traditional recipes, accompanied by excellent local wines. Each of the six (approx.) courses was in its own way a masterpiece of taste and texture. Six courses would normally be 3-4 too many for us, but the quantities were nicely judged - especially the pasta - and spread over two hours we were pleasantly replete by the end. Relaxed but efficient service and a stunning view from the terrace. We enjoyed several good meals on our Italian holiday, but this was easily the best.

“very good local food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

My husband and I drove from Dolceaqua and went to Pigna for sightseeing. We were a little bit hungry around 1pm and we found the restaurant " Terme ". We stayed outdoor because it was sunny and the view was great - mountains and houses ! We both had home-made pasta with fresh porcini ( in season ). It was delicious ! The service was good and the price was cheap. We highly recommend.

“Be one of the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

This is an unassuming restaurant adjacent to the swankier Antiche Pigna Terme hotel complex that has many fans - and justifiably so. For a start the food is original Ligurian cooked by 'Mama' Lanteri and served in a restaurant that is masterly supervised by her charming husband, Silvio, ably assisted by their son and daughter (and, on very busy days, a number of others). The menu never changes - highly original Ligurian (cold and hot) antipasti, followed by piping hot home-made pasta rounded off by meat (lamb or beef) and fried potatoes and anything one fancies (and still has room to digest) from the dessert trolley - all of which accompanied most likely by rossesse di dolceacqua wine (Liguria's second best kept secret after the Terme restaurant). Nothing sophisticated - just good plain Ligurian family food in a unique Ligurian family atmosphere at unbeatable prices. Eating here is not so much a mealtime as a family celebration. “Great local food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

We went to Terme because of the reviews at tripadvisor. The food was typical Ligurian. I had the different starters from the region. Tapenade from black olives, tapenade of sundried tomatoes, sausage. Then the warm starts came: pizza, puff pastry filled with artichauds, filled courgette. My husband had carpaccio, nicely sliced with excellent olive oil and shaved parmesan.
For the main dish grilled lambchops with rosemary, my husband had the rabbit with winesauce and olives. It tasted excellent. The rossese wine was great. I had a kind of chocolate flan tart with amaretto as a dessert. We had a great dinner at a cheap price, starters vary from €9-12 and the main dish €11. We'll come back!

“we'll be back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

We live only 30 minutes away in France and know many restaurants in the region.
Restaurants Terme has a good price/relation. Everything is very good, but try the baby Lamb which is delicious... Service is great, like in the old days...
