“Excellent food and first class service, beautiful setting”

Had a 3 person business lunch and it was excellent in every respect.
I could not fault it.
I felt the portions were decent and generous compared to other places of similar quality I've visited elsewhere in the UK. I forgot to order any veg as a side but it was not needed because the food as served was ample.
The price for lunchtime was also very good value for money.
I will be going back regularly.

“A great lunch!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

As my wife had been housebound for many weeks awaiting surgery and she suggested a trip to The Little Gloster for Sunday lunch.
From the initial call to book the lunch and when Tristan took the reservation it was a pleasure.
The greeting and seating was pleasant and efficient and the service throughout (again by Tristan )was as good as we have experienced anywhere in the world.
The food was the reason we went and it did not disappoint as usual, and all of us were extremely happy with our choices.
I heartily recommend this establishment!

“Ab Fab”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Walking from Thorness to Gurnard we came across The Little Gloster.Looked very posh but we were hungry. All glass it seemed.Walked inside to find two smiling ladies welcoming us.
There was a lovely view of the Solent at the table. There was a good selection of meals.
I had the bream with stir fried green vegetables and the pannacotta as a sweet. Both delicious. My wife chose the crayfish and crab fishcakes with biscuits and cheese for her second course."Best fishcakes i've ever tasted" she said.
The service was lovely and the waitress(Josie I think her name was) efficient and smiling.
They have a large garden outside which must be packed on sunny day.
My whole family have now visited the restaurant and have raved about it.
Slightly more expensive than other places we have been to but great value for the excellent food

“Nice view of the Solent”
Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

Stopped here for Sunday lunch. Went for the seafood plater,  If you are expecting a large pile of prawns etc you will be disappointed,  what you get is very well presented  beautiful tasting seafood. Only one small problem with our lunch was the quails egg in the menu had been replaced with a full sized hens egg. When we pointed this out to the waiter he immediately offered complementary coffee, the only disappointment was the rather lame excuse offered that the kitchen was unaware that the seafood plater had quails eggs on the menu.

“Beautiful food, drink and atmosphere”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

I brought my mother and son here back in August it was just perfect they had reserved us a table inside but we ended up sat outside as it was a beautiful evening, the food was fantastic as was the service and we had a fabulous wine, this isn't the cheapest of places but you do pay for what you get which was great and set in a beautiful surrounding with great service! Keep up the good work!
