We cycled to Little Gloster from Cowes with our 2 children in sub-zero temperatures and we weren't disappointed! We had a fantastic lunch, served by professional friendly staff. The view is amazing and we were allowed to enjoy a lovely long relaxing lunch whilst the children played in the garden and collected shells from the beach. Would recommend to all.

Went here to celebrate our third anniversary and whilst they did forget to do anything special for our anniversary or maybe they just don't, we did have a very memorable dining experience there. The waitstaff were very friendly and smiley. Our food was expertly cooked and delivered. The wait in between was neither too fast nor too slow. I highly recommend the smoked salmon with caviar. The crab bisque was very good off the specials. We both had the fish goujons off the specials menu that was very good as well. We were both comfortably full even before dessert. I had the rhubard and ginger mousse with polenta topping and my husband had a figgy dessert. Excellent value as well! The dining atmosphere is superb, with intimate lighting and a nautical theme befitting it's location. I especially loved the boat sails on the beams which I thought was a novel idea. We will certainly be back when we're next on the island and perhaps to stay in the Balcony suite with views looking over the Solent.

Tried this for a Sunday Lunch as it had a good reputation around the Island and we were not disappointed, the food was very good. Three roasts and a fish dish all cooked superbly. The fish was a little short on vegetable accompaniment though, so made for a rather small meal.

Puddings and coffee followed and they were equally as good, except for my espresso. A thimble full and I think they just waved the beans over it. It was that weak.
The staff were excellent and the location is very pleasant with views across the Solent. Not keen on the furniture, comfortable chairs to eat on, would have been nice.

The down side to all this, is the price. You expect to pay for fine dining, but £16 to £18 each for a Sunday Roast? At least it came on a plate, not in a bowl, unlike a recent experience.

We have today enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration (late) lunch at The Little Gloster , it was a first for my wife and I ! but wont be the last , what a joy to find such nice staff who seemed to enjoy serving and making you feel at home . The food was 1st class and the chefs are a great team, to produce such great food ! Thank you.
We had local roast pork which was delicious , complete with crackling just like my mum used to cook ! and guess what ! the grey clouds departed from over the Solent and we enjoyed a most welcome sight ! the sun setting over the western sky ! Thanks again Little Gloster Team for making our family most welcome. In the words of Arnie " I will be back" !
