Our second visit here. This time we stayed with our children and grandchildren, occupying Frankie's and Sadler's cottages.
The accommodation is wonderful...spacious and well equipped throughout. The dishwashers are quiet...a bonus when it's open-plan. Beds are comfortable and wide, the ensuite bathroom's walk-in shower luxurious, the main bathroom equally good.
Feeding the goats and the chickens was a favourite occupation, alongside spending time in the lovely play barn.
A very special place. Wonderful views. Excellent and caring hosts. We shall return.

Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to provide such a wonderful review of Frankies and Sadlers cottages. Having all of the family to stay here was an absolute pleasure and we are especially pleased to hear that you enjoyed using our Play Barn which is new for 2013 and we are particularly pleased with.
We look forward to having you return to Duckhaven once again
Kindest regards
Kathy & Chris

2nd visit to westward living and again we have loved every minute. This time we stayed in star cottage and the views are amazing. We were spoilt with all the space and the kitchen is great. Everybody who lives and works here at westward living make your holiday 5* and we can't wait to come back again soon. Emma and Mark

Just returned from a week long break with my husband, staying in Dream Cottage.
I have to say I have NEVER been on a more relaxing, and beautiful holiday in or outside of England!
From the off the booking via phone was very straightforward and friendly and even on the day of arrival when I had to call ahead to inform the owners we wouldn't be making it by check in time, due to our car having broken, Chris was very understanding and helpful, saying that if we didn't make it before it got dark they would be sure to have the lights on waiting, and come and meet us when we did eventually arrive!

We were super lucky with the weather during our stay, having temperatures up in the high 20's most of the time (although we were thankful for a slightly more cloudy day when we drove to see Tintagel and climb it PHEW!) The Plunge pool in the barn and of course the huge whirlpool bath in our cottage were very much appreciated after a long hot day!

The overall setting of the place literally took my breath away, the sunsets are stunning, and the views both day time and night are simply beautiful. It's so peaceful and tranquil, no noise save for a few neighs from all the gorgeous horses they have roaming around on their land.
We ventured down to the "Sea Cave" atop the cliffs looking over the sea to watch the sunsets, but due to the heat we didn't investigate the walking trails I must confess!

The accommodation itself is pretty much 5 star in my eyes, I have certainly never spent any holiday in a nicer cottage! I think even in the colder months it would be idyllic, with the big bath and the log burner :) not to mention the little box of handmade chocolates, and the gorgeous tin of bath goodies!

I think this place is amazing really, whether it's a romantic break for two, or a family break for you, the kids, the grandparents, & the dog! Everyone seemed very chilled out and happy and it's close enough to a fair amount of attractions, beaches, places of interest to cater for all sorts of different people :)

If by some odd chance you require any assistance from the staff there is a number to call pretty much all day, and any problems you might have are very quickly rectified. We had to inform them that the dining table was more than a little bit wobbly, and within hours a new one was put in with no fuss or hassle at all. Also we received our complimentary cream tea (you get to keep the jam!) that day due to our late arrival so that was a really nice gesture as I thought we'd missed out!

We will be coming back next year that's a definite!

We stayed in the Paddocks which is a lovely one bed modern cottage that looks over the ménage !
We have had the best three nights sleep we have had in a long time and have probably shrunk a little as couldn't get out of the jacuzzi tub!

Set on the cliff top overlooking westward ho with horses, chickens and goats it is a lovely farm perfect for animal overs and family's, also fab for romantic breaks which was for us!

We were attending a wedding which was at the Pier restaurant which is only a 15 minute walk down the coastal foot path which was very convenient.

A lot of thought and detail into the product with all local chocolates and bath salts and all the extras you would expect... Bath robes, hair dryer iPad doc!

We had booked the cave for a romantic meal but sadly due to traffic we were to late ! However this is a perfect excuse to come back !

The people we met were so happy and friendly which is very welcoming, we definitely recommend this place and felt is was worth the money!

A truly wonderful place to stay. We have recently returned from a 4 night break staying at the sumptious Royal Celerity. From the initial booking through to departure we were made to feel really special and you always felt the guests needs were paramount. The idyllic surroundings, peaceful situation, wonderful views, beautiful wildlife including what appeared to be the resident pheasant just made this perfect for us and very restful. What more can you say about Royal Celerity luxuriously equipped, open the balcony doors early in the morning and just take in the views and silence... just magical. We stayed four nights and are already booked to return later in the year with our grandchildren who will just love this.
