I found this rather a strange place, the outer appearance looks nothing special , once inside the bar area is well done out with plenty of seating and seems to attract the younger generation, families and more mature people which all adds up to a rather strange atmosphere ! putting this aside , they do a carvery twice a week at £5.95 each on Thursday and Saturday which is good value in this area , otherwise the menu seemed rather expensive for what you got . The carvery meal we had was not bad at all with a selection of two meats and vegatables which couyld not be complanied about .

Our family (2 adults & 3 kids) stayed in a "family room" for 2 nights in August. Room was much better than expected - 2 separate rooms in a suite plus a separate area to store clothes/luggage. Excellent value since it included massive breakfast. Location perfect - just over the road from the great beach - easy to leave car in hotel carpark and then cross the road. Can imagine it would be noisy on week-ends in Summer. Highly recommended though - great value for money for a family.

This SHOULD have been a top class, 5 Star review, but for the fact that MY room absolutely STANK of stale cigarette smoke.. For this reason alone I cannot recommend this facility, as smoking in the rooms is completely ILLEGAL..

Only here for 1 night, poor choice on my part sadly....

I eat here often, as the chef can easily cater for my gluten free diet. The bar menu is varied and good value for money, plus there is a carvery twice a week. The staff are friendly and nice, there is often free evening entertainment, 2 big screen tv's, plus a whole separate children's soft play area. Friends visiting me have stayed here for B&B and report that the rooms are gorgeous and extremely good value for money too. I wish i lived more than 3 miles away and had an excuse to stay overnight here!

One has to remember that this is a sea side family Hotel. We only paid £55 for the room with sea views including Breakfast. The room Very Clean and excellent Shower the breakfast all self service bit like been in a holiday camp but we were satisfied. Music thankfully switched off at 11.15 not sure about the summer season could be noisy. Would I return again yes the staff were so Helpful

We stayed in a nearby cottage and went into the Waterfront to eat and drink partly as it was closest and partly on the advice of the cottage owner. It had a lively feel without being over bearing and the food we had was very tasty and good value for money.

Are only quibble was that the staff seemed a bit slow on keeping the tables/floor clean - at one point after a large group left leaving crumbs of food and rubbish on the table and floor we counted six staff free but no one did anything about the mess. Just a minor quibble which in some places wouldn't be noteworthy!
