We stayed at LLandudno, which is lovely, but the Beach is all shingle and very difficult to walk on, so we drove to Rhos on Sea. Even when the tide is in, there is some staging to sit on, but the tide turns quite quickly, so then you can move onto the Beach. It was very peacefull and the sea looks so inviting. Were we parked, we had easy access to the Beach and it was near the pub "The Toad" which we spent a pleasureable 2 hours sat outside. A little further down the prom, there are also public toilets, which these days is good.

Great harbour, clean beach, great views and a great place to go walking, also with a few restaurants and shops near by to go to which are good.

The beach at Rhos-on-Sea is awful. The sand between the promenade and the huge tidal breaker never gets cleaned from the sea and so it's always litter strewn, full of cans & other rubbish, and other animal/human waste. Why some people take their children onto this part of the beach I'll never understand. During hotter months you also see loutish groups drinking lager here while playing loud music.
If you want to spend time on a nice beach then pop along to Colwyn Bay because it's cleaner, friendlier and far, far better.

Nothing particularly special about it but there also seems to be something going on there as it is always crowded with people
