The Hilton Moorea was a very beautiful and relaxing destination for me and my family. The hospitality shown to our family during this visit was outstanding. This exceptional experience started with a kind and very helpful staff at the front desk. Shuttle service was great to an from our well designed/appointed over-the-water bungalows. The sunsets were stunning and atmosphere was relaxed, complimenting the island lagoon beauty. The amenities included a delicious diverse breakfast buffet containing an international flair with Polynesian/French influences.The servers were very polite and attentive. A special note of excellence was the Bar and Grill at the Beach which provided a good kids gluten free menu (provided for free for children under 12 years old). The food was served fresh, hot and was very delicious. Great service! Kudos to the food management!
The complimentary room mini-bar was a wonderful surprise. The pool and many water activities (e.g., snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.), tennis court and workout facility was provided complimentary for guests.
Over-water bungalows contained a viewing glass area and back deck walk down to convenient and spectacular back porch snorkeling with views of diverse pacific basin tropical fish including sting rays and sharks. Lighting under the bungalow was provided for easy in-room and back deck night time viewing.

However,maintenance is needed to maintain over-water wooden walkways (which had substantially deteriorated since our last visit in 2012). The over-water bungalow wooden railings were loose which created a safety issue (e.g., numerous trip hazards due to loose boards and some screws sticking up through the some walkway boards, loose/wobbly over-water bungalow back deck railings, roof thatch damage, etc.).

Overall a very nice experience.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We split the stay between two rooms. We started our stay in a garden bungalow with a plunge pool. This room was fantastic and everything that I was hoping for. The plunge pool is great especially for when we wanted to have a romantic night with just the two of us. Upon entering the room we were greeted by a bottle of wine and a bottle of Champaign cooling in ice. The in room mini bar was stocked every day with a big bottle of water, two coke's, two coke light's and two hinano beers. The second half of our honeymoon we moved into an overwater bungalow. The overwater bungalow was beyond what I had imagined it would be. There have been some reviews that have stated the appearance of tarps on some of the bungalows, while some do have tarps on them after about ten minutes you forget that they are even there and from what I can tell Hilton is in the process of redoing the roofs on the overwater bungalows as there were about 6 or 7 that have had their roofs replaced. The breakfast buffet has a nice selection of pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, and an omelet bar. Make sure you hit up their happy hour where their cocktails and mojitos are two for one. The concierge desk was very helpful for all we wanted to do off site, including making dinner reservations for us at local restaurants, booking our tours and calling cabs when we needed one. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back and tell friends to stay here when they visit.

Another excellent stay! We love this hotel. Great bungalows whether on land or over the water. Fantastic beach and snorkeling. We have snorkeled and dived the world over...and honestly, the lagoon here is just among the very best anywhere! You’ll never want to leave. Very good food as well. We’ll be back!
