I just stayed four nights with Amanda Case at her lovely rural B&B at Harpley, in Norfolk.
This was a great location for visiting some of the areas attractions, such as Sandringham Esate and the glorious gardens at Houghton Hall. There are many respected homes and gardens in the area, as well as the historic town of Kings Lynn, with it's hanseatic buildings along the river Ouse, and Castle Acre abbey is also close by.
Amanda's house is newish, but built in the traditional brick and flint style. It's large, light rooms are comfortable and have good ensuite bathrooms. There is also a huge guest sitting room with French doors to the terrace, pictures, silver, flowers, a fire, comfy sofas. It's a perfect, quiet place to come home to after a day's exploring. There are three or four good local pubs in the area.

Room Tip: It's so quiet on the farm, so any room is great.

Amanda Case is a wonderful hostess. She welcomed us with open arms and escorted us to the light and airy rooms with huge double beds which were bliss. Breakfast was any combination of the Full English breakfast that you wanted. The website directions were perfect and she arranged a table for us at the local pub - 10 minutes walk away - where we had magnificent meals.

A very belated review of this bed and breakfast accommodation from our walk of the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path last year.

We wholeheartedly recommend Meadow House to anyone looking for a quality bed and breakfast in the Norfolk countryside.

The house and the en-suite room are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The proprieter really went that extra mile to ensure we had an exceptional stay.

The breakfast was delicious, and although evening meals are not offered, there are excellent recommended restaurants nearby.

As we were hiking and had no transport, the proprieter kindly offered us transport to and from a local restaurant.
