We decided to stay at Riverdale last minute for a night away.
Upon arrival the hotel looks very nice, reception were helpful and we were given the keys to out room.
The room was very dated, mainly the en suite which to be fair was needed upgrading years ago. There was MDF boxing that didn't fit, shower worked off the tap and you couldn't really stand under it if your more than 5ft6.
The TV was old and the volume is limited so it can barely be heard.
However once you get passed the niggles we headed to the bar and opted for a bar meal other than a meal in the dining room, you could have your bar meal in the dining room for an extra £3 each which I couldn't understand. The food was great and we both really enjoyed our meal.
We got the dessert menu but it had no prices on so I had to ask the price, all desserts were £4.95. I went for the cheese board which was an additional £2 do £6.95 in total, I expected great things of a cheese board at this price but to be fair it was very poor, 4 slithers of not very special cheese and 5 crackers.
All in all not a bad experience but stayed in better places.More
