Description: We are a hip café serving local fine food and great coffee. We’re a happy bunch and we’ll give you service with a smile. It’s a place to kick back and relax, soak in the views, and enjoy our wholesome fayre. We’re passionate about all things local, so you’ll find this in abundance here. We support artists, makers and growers, so an eclectic mix of shelf items and gifts are on offer in the shed too. Hook up to our free wifi and bring the world to your fingertips. We’re licensed - so enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine too. We welcome children, walkers and wheelchair users. A state of the art building, erected on the footprint of a derelict cattle shed, our interior makes a stylish nod to our building’s heritage past. We’ve got a retro-scandi style all of our own and want to share it with you. Everyone needs a shed, so come on in…With such talented chefs in the Coffeeshed, we serve more than just great coffee – we make the finest main meals and scrumptious desserts. We even bake our own delicious fresh bread too! Our menu changes often to reflect the best dishes available using the best locally sourced ingredients, and we always have fresh daily specials on our chalkboards. We are open every day, with varying opening hours according to the time of year. We offer a late night supper club menu on some weekend evenings. We can cater for special events, birthday parties & group bookings – so come on in & enjoy the best of our region’s great food & drink in this unique Northumberland National Park setting.

Stayed here on a Saturday night for a last minute camping trip. On arrival the coffee shed/reception was very impressive - very stylish! The camping field is pretty steep and open to the elements but to be honest I loved the fact that it wasn't some manicured lawn. There's electric hook up if required and the pitches are big so doesn't feel crowded at all. The facilities are great - the toilets/showers are very modern and clean and the on site cafe is a real plus (although the food was a little expensive!) My only concern (and doesn't affect those without kids) is that the same sharp stones are used in the children's play area as on the road/path. I think it might be worth getting some wood chippings before someone has a nasty accident! Overall though, a great place to stay for a short break.

Stayed here in our camper for 3 nights, this is my dream campsite, lovely facilities and an on site café. Enjoyed cake, coffee, and an evening meal, plus a fantastic breakfast ( I went mid size and it was still massive!). Word of warning it is chef's day off on a Tuesday so no cooked breakfast's that day ( we would have had one 2 days in a row!). Did some great biking at Kielder and Newcastleton.

The place was very busy on the weekend but lovely and quiet on the Monday and Tuesday.

Stayed September last year in the Hayloft and enjoyed it so re-booked in February for same weekend this year. I have just contacted them via email to confirm arrangements and have been told the Boe Rigg have new owners who took over in May and they have no record of our booking and are indeed booked for our weekend, so sorry but we cannot honour that weekend. I was told i am not the only person this has happened too!! In fairness they did say they would try and give us an alternative weekend but arrangements had been made and our anniversary is that weekend.
Anybody who has booked way in advance please contact them to make sure the same has not happened to you.
I feel as a returning customer i have been let down, the kids are pretty disappointed too.

Very nice, reasonably priced mug of hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and a slice of delicious homemade cake for a fiver. Love the retro feel. The owners have obviously invested a lot of time and effort into the place and I wish them every success. Particularly pleased to see they stock local bottled real ales. All the best for the future. Will definitely return en route to Kielder. Thanks.
