“An absolute Gem”
Reviewed August 17, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Fabulous family holiday at Dunmuck farmhouse, it truly is a home from home kitted out with everything you could need. The house itself has a gorgeous sunroom and plenty of room for a family of four..The house has it's own private garden which was visited daily by red squirrels and woodpeckers, there was also a trampoline nearby and a great swing in the wood much to the delight of our children. The farmhouse is situated only a short drive from some beautiful beaches too. The owner Laura is a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding areas and ensures you miss nothing out worth visiting.
Dunmuck really is absolute Gem

Beautiful farmhouse. Loved the garden... beautiful birds and visits from the red squirrel. Sun room is just the place for family gatherings. Beach fifteen mins drive and is stunning. Lots of history in nearby Dumfries. We had a wonderful family holiday. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the relaxation. Hope to visit again...

We had a lovely week in the farmhouse. 3 generations enjoyed the accommodation and the kids loved the garden and the wildlife. A lovely welcome from Laura and Alan and a beautiful area to explore. So pleased we chose Dunmuck for our holidays! Thank you.

“3 generations ( & Bella the dog) all loved Dunmuck!”
Reviewed May 23, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

What a beautiful place to spend a long weekend. There were 5 adults, 4 children and a dog and the house was perfect in every way. The sun room was amazing and we spend a lot of time in here but of an evening the cosy lounge was equally lovely, Beautiful garden with walks right from the door. The children particularly loved the huge trampoline and tree swing and we all loved looking for amethysts in the nearby stream! Sandyhills beach is a short drive away and well worth a visit.
Laura, Alan and Iona could not have been more welcoming yet very unobtrusive - and the homemade banana loaf was delicious!
We have stayed in many self catering houses and this one is our new favourite - we will definitely be back!
Oh...and we can't forget Gino - he's a little delight!
Thanks so much for a brilliant weekend.
Jackie and family.

“Versatile accommodation in great setting”
Reviewed May 2, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Situated in 90 acres of farmland and within a 15 minute drive from both the beaches at Rockcliffe and the shops at Dalbeattie, this farmhouse easily accommodated our group of 6 adults and one toddler, and was a lovely place to enjoy a special celebration week.

Inside was bright, spacious and family-friendly, with an amazing garden room/sun lounge which offered plenty of space to eat, chill - and play table-tennis on the full sized table. Croquet was also on offer, outside, plus a trampoline, so the children amongst us were well catered for!

Booking was quick and efficient, and Laura, Alan and Barbara were very helpful with any queries. Just 30 minutes from Dumfries, Dunmuck is very easily accessed, and we will definitely be returning.

On arrival you will instantly fall in love with the house and surroundings and receive a lovely welcome from the owners and family who could not do enough to ensure we had a lovely stay.

The house and gardens are beautiful and the wildlife provides many an hour of entertainment. The bath in the garden is a fabulous feature even in the rain. We couldn't fault our stay at all.

Thanks again Laura
