Stayed here with my wife and young son for the last two weeks of June. A nice property overall but I don't think this property would suit everyone. A few things for prospective renters to consider/know:
Positive: modern property and reasonably well equipped. A very rural setting and so plenty of peace and quiet. Beautiful, clean, pool.
Air conditionining is only available between 14.00 - 16.00 and 21.00 and 08.00. The much vaunted, special heat deflecting glass simply doesn't work. By 09.00 it was too hot to be in the house at all and it is too uncomfortable to be inside at all when there is no air con available. When we asked if we could have freedom to decide when the air con was used we were quoted €30.00 per day by the owner! This is an outrageous price and quite dangerous if you have a young baby (from a Northern European climate) like we do. In addition the air con actually went off at 04.00 and it took multiple calls to Calla Dor Villas to get this rectified.
Flies. Although we knew the property was adjacent to stables what we didn't know is that the stables are very 'rustic' (dilapidated) and are a breeding ground for flies. There are no fly screens or any means of preventing their entry to the house - particularly as you need to have the door open to let heat out!
Noise: the property has very little soft furnishings to deaden the sound and it is not possible to hear conversations between rooms. The acrylic chairs look nice but make a horrific noise when moved - a triumph of style over practicality.
Finally the land at the side and rear of the property is not maintained and looks unsightly. What would it take to landscape this a little and present a better picture for renters?
Unfortunately for these reasons alone we couldn't recommend this property and wouldn't return.
