Always enjoyed the curries here. Each one has a unique taste and staff are very friendly. Only one gripe is that the poppadoms were slightly chewy not crisp but this may be due to the humidity . Wouldn't put me off going again

Thanks for the great review - we will look into the source of the chewy poppadoms!

All the best,

Spicy nights in fabulous Addaia and the curry was good too.
The boss,Kesh and his team are great!! To have a curry house in Addaia within walking distance of our home is just heaven on earth. My girlfriend and I are frequent visitors to The Taj and every time is a splendid dining experience. The staff, the food and the value for money are all second to none. Keep it going guys!!

Having eaten at the original Taj in Mahon we were keen to try the new Addaia Taj and invited a Spanish family that had never eaten an authentic curry to join us.

We sat on the raised decking on the outdoor terrace and enjoyed the view of Addaia Port and Na Macaret whilst we looked at the menu.

We started with Popadoms, Onion Bhajis and Vegetable Samosas. The Panneer Cheese, Beetroot and Coconut Samosa was new to us and was a winning combination.

The children shared a Lamb Shish Kebab whilst the adults went for Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Passanda, Chicken Masala and Tandoor Sea Bass (Lubina) followed by homemade Pistachio Kulfi ice-cream made with condensed milk.

We paid €140 for a party of six and this included extensive side dishes, deserts and drinks including Laski.

Afterwards we walked down to the Taverna at the Port for coffee and to watch the setting sun.

We were happy to see that Taj was open in October, since places sometimes close for the winter. Since we were staying just across the street at White Sands Country Club, we decided to walk over on our first night. The waiter was friendly and patient with us, since we didn't know what we wanted. When the drinks came, I was worried that the mojito looked a bit dark, but it was great along with the other drinks from the full bar. We ordered poppadums, samosas, rice to share, 4 main dishes, and drinks from the bar and the total for all 4 of us was about €80. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. A man besides the waiters came over to check on us to ensure we were happy with our meals- I think it was the owner, which is a nice touch. They also have take-away if you do not finish your food, or if you just feel like eating at home.
Great place that we will go back to the next time we visit Menorca!

Went to the Taj about 4 years ago when they were in Mahon - food was inedible and Manager not interested. Had to go somewhere else to get some food.

It has now moved to Addaia (on our doorstep) so thought we had better try it again. I am pleased to say the food had much improved with the dishes tender and flavorsome. Staff helpful will go back again.
