I recently had the pleasure of spending some time at this adorable property.
The building has clearly been lovingly restored and renovated to very high standards. The decor, artwork and furniture create a special ambience, providing the perfect balance between the elegance of tradition and the comfort of modern features.
Peter and Serge were gracious and welcoming hosts. Their passion and knowledge of the local area was as impressive as it was endearing, allowing us to make the most of our time in this beautiful region.
The surroundings are simply beautiful. I highly recommend allowing time to get lost in the vineyards, rolling hills and neighbouring villages, to soak up the essence of quintessential French countryside life.
Alternatively, we also enjoyed days just outside the doorstep. With two swimming pools and ample outdoor space, it was the perfect location to indulge in local wines and unwind. Set along the riverside, the tranquil sounds of the waters ripples and birdsong at dusk, as the embers of the sun cast the day's final light over the blossoming garden, is a memory I will hold dear.
Visited with our two teenage sons - hosts Peter and Serge could not have been more helpful. Rooms are delightfully decorated and there are two beautiful swimming pools in large tranquil gardens fronting the Dordogne. Activities included lots of swimming (including in the river!), cyling, kayaking and, of course, wine-tasting!
Can't wait to visit again - would definitely recommend.
We received a magical welcome to this peaceful haven only a stone's throw from some of the most mythical wine producers in the world. In addition to the gorgeous decoration, heavenly beds and two (!) pools (depending on the position of the sun, this is handy) Serge and Peter are extraordinarily attentive hosts. Their advice about local restaurants, markets and activities was invaluable. Our canoe trip down the Dordogne was memorable! We recommend without hesitation.
