My partner and I enjoyed our two weeks here overall but did not find all the staff as wonderful as other reviews state.
Were told off rudely by female reception staff when we took our beach towels to reception to get clean ones! (Even though this is what we had been told to do) Found the female reception staff abrupt and ill mannered on other two occasions we went to ask for information as well.
Were also told off by one of the waiter's ,on our first night, for entering the restaurant through the wrong door and got a black look from another waiter who took our drinks order, assumedly for having done this!
Chambermaids were also quite surly, not very friendly.
Food quality good but very repetitive, not many Cypriot dishes served.
Tables in both the Al a Carte restaurant and the beachside lunch restaurant were far too close together, made for uncomfortable eating at times, lacking privacy.

Nicola & Matt were fantastic as the entertainment team - professional, friendly and always welcoming. Chris & Vicky were also very helpful and friendly.
The visiting Thomson team of singers were absolutely dire as were the comedian acts. The rest of the entertainment wasn't too bad.

Not up to the standards of some other hotels we have visited - will not be going back again.

gorgeous hotel. lovelly food with lots of choices, staff cannot do enough for you. entertainment very good day and evening. Matt and Nic who organise it are brilliant. the only down side is if you like walking from the hotel as ther is no promanade and no proper footpath, although the bus stop is right outside and its only 15 minutes to the harbour and 10 to coral bay and if you get a 2 euro ticket you can travel all day anywhere.

Room Tip: ask for a pool view as you can also see the sea. we got a side room , we saw the sea and the scrub land although got the sun all day.

Have just returned from our second holiday at the Atlantica Golden Beach and found it even better than last year (if that is possible) We travelled as a family group with our grown up daughters and my parents. The hotel had something to offer all of us which is why we returned. The hotel is impecibly clean. The food is outstanding, we have all gained weight (ouch). The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The intimate upstairs bar is efficiently run by the lovely Nicoletta, Ericka and team, drinks are delivered quickly we never waited more than 5 mins and each time we ordered drinks they came accompanied by a tray full of salty nibbles (yum). The pool is safe and gave easy access to my elderly parents. There are ample sunbeds for the hotel (there is no need to get up at the crack of dawn to bag a poolside bed as the surrounding gardens are beautiful) We dined both inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace....dinner is overseen by George and Nicos and nothing was too much trouble, they accomodated us as a party of 7 at the busiest times and we were always given a lovely table.

The entertainment team were fantastic "Team Betty" Matt, Nicola & Jinx were very professional. I cannot understand the comments made about the childish games?? There is no pressure to join in if you don't want to. The games give holiday makers a chance to get to know each other and have a bit of a laugh, great for us people who don't take themselves too seriously!

Evening entertainment was mixed. "Team Betty" did some brilliant shows which were really professional and very enjoyable. Was a little disappointed with the Thompson gold touring shows this year which were not as good as the previous year. There were a number of UK acts during our stay....our favourite being the comedian and singer Craig Harper who had us crying with laughter.

We took rooms with a country view this year and were not disappointed......the view was actually nicer than the partial sea view which we took last year.

Chris and Vicky the Thompson reps were fantastic, always on hand to help us with queries and ensuring that our excursions went without a hitch.

I cannot understand the negative reviews about this hotel, the Thompson brochure clearly states about the location and foreign companies which take bookings for children (there were only a handful of small children during our stay, and all were very well behaved). The Thompson Reps could not have worked any harder and the hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We definitely will be returning.

just returned from the hotel,(2nd visit) and this is the place for a perfect holiday relax, The hotel is spotless, rooms are cleaned/ fresh towels daily.Food is excelent, so much choice every tase is catered for, yes the menu repeat's itself but you couldn't eat all the choice's so there's no problem.really enjoyed the al a carte, didn't go to the beach restaraunt at lunch time very often as we were still full from breakfast,George and his team of waiters are so good, nothing is to much trouble for them they only want to please you.pool bar staff aslo just as good they come round taking orders all day( well done Alex )carn't comment on night entertainment as that is not my thing we enjoyed a quite drink in lobby or bar, you are then looked after by the lovely lovely Niceletta ( where dose she get her energy from, she also remembers what you drink, room no. and where you prefer to sit ) she will be remembered by many many people ! hotel is only a bus ride away from Paphos or in the other direction coral bay. this suits me perfect, but many complian about this. my advice is do your homework first, read all reviews look at maps etc.buses are so easy to use so not really a problem we allways rent a car which again is very easy, its like driving in england even the signs are english !there is so much to see out there and nowhere is more than an 1 to 2 hrs drive.PLEASE remember that Thompson only own 80% of this hotel so at times there wil be children from other country's they book through tui Thompson's sister company. we saw about six children there, which as there is no children's facilities they were not running around etc.so to us it is not a probem.the only negative for me would be that the pool is not big enough for serious swimming. overall this is a great hotel.we will be back next year.

On arrival we were met by the reception Manager and one of his staff and received a glass of bubbly and a very warm welcome, this was a sign of things to come.Found all the staff to be very friendly, attentive and mannerly and nothing was a problem. The service around the pool and adjoining grass areas was excellent especially when Chipo was on duty always kept you supplied with plenty of fluids. When you had enough of the sun we would retire to the lobby bar for tea, coffee and cakes or indeed the occasional cocktail where Nicoleta, Erika and the rest of the staff would always smile and nothing would ever be a problem. The restuarant staff were also very pleasant and were always very busy taking drink orders and clearing tables in between courses, always done with a big smile overseen by both George and Nicos the restaurant Managers.
It was our anniversary on the 27th August and we were still drinking bubbly on the 28th delivered to our room along with a card and a bowl of fresh fruit all compliments of the hotel General Manager Pambos.
This was one of the most relaxing and friendly holidays my wife and I have had in some time in a hotel where all the staff are worthy of a special thanks for all their hard work and effort in making sure your holiday is most enjoyable.
Entertainment staff Matthew and Nicola should be congratulated for working so hard, not only providing excellent entertainment but encouraging everyone to take part but at the same time not being to forceful in doing so.Chris and Vicky the hotel Reps were very approachable and very helpful when needed and always had a good morning for everyone going for breakfast.
I would stress to anyone considering the Atlantica Golden Beach that it is a bus journey to Paphos at a cost of 2 euros for an all day ticket or a taxi ride, the hotel is in Kissinerga not in the centre of Paphos ( read holiday reports ).
I think it is fair to say that if you are happy to stay in and around the hotel and if you are all inclusive then the Hotel Atlantica Golden Beach ticks all the boxes.
This is only our opinion and hope it is of some assistance.

Room Tip: You should pay the extra and get a superior room with a seaview, a pleasure sitting with a glass of bubbly watching the sun setting.
