On arrival our first thoughts were how lovely it was, fabulous views etc. As the time went on we began noticing things that weren’t quite up to standard. The bbq hadn’t been cleaned when we went to use it, the air con in the lounge wasn’t turned on as you have to pay extra for that, although we weren’t aware at time of booking. Took a couple of days to get it turned on then it didn’t work! Eventually ended up having to have a new one put in. The two air con units upstairs both stopped working which you can imagine at night wasn’t very comfortable. Although they did respond pretty quickly to us it still took a few days to repair one & renew another unit.
The beds were very hard & uncomfortable ( one of the worst I’d slept in) there was also only one pillow per person. Cleaning was pretty basic & when the bath towels were renewed they weren’t very nice. Very shabby & hard! No mirrors apart from bathroom & on dressing table so you couldn’t see anything full length.
There was a system by when you left the property all electricity was turned off so this meant the fridge/freezer was on & off all the time. The food we had in it would either be warm or frozen !! Also to unlock the door you had to take the key out to put into the door & so everything again went off, so when I was having a shower one afternoon when the air con men came I was burnt by the boiling hot water that suddenly came through the shower so maybe people should be aware of this!!
The pool wasn’t cleaned while we were there, we ended up doing it ourselves. When the guy came he only checked the chlorine tablets & I said about the dead lizards in the pool , he just said it’s because it’s hot they want water?!
Also we were a party of 6, 3 couples & it was difficult to go out separately as there was only one key so would have been nice to have 2 keys at least.
The weather was amazing & the location was lovely although a bit remote. I just feel for the money paid the facilities could have been better.
