A great escape from Vancouver and just across the water from Kelowna. The food at the resort was great, as was the service in general. We had a hard time leaving and will definitely be back!
Just came back from a 1 week exchange on 2 different suites - a 1-BR in the LakeSide Inn and another 1-BR in the Terrace 3 building. WOW what a view !! The units are not 5-star but everything worked. They have tried to make different updates in the units but they have spent money for the mariner and the new Tiki Bar.
The LakeSide units have direct lake front view - closest to the beach access. I can't ask for more in my unit.
The Terrace building has a wonderful larger shared deck with BBQs units overlooking the lake at a higher level. WOW again !!
There are many other buildings on the resort - some hotel style, many vacation rentals (timeshare) styles, and some privately own buildings on the same site. There is the original part and the Pointe Beach Villa units. Of course the newer Pointe Beach area is newer but probably very pricy. They are further away from the amenities and the beach too.
The beach area is a bit small but enough space for resort guest. They have their own mariner that offers boat and jetski rentals - a bit price but it is on site in your resort! Bring your own blow-up water equipment and enjoy the wonderful lake !!
The Tiki bar was just setup - they offer all sort of drinks and some BBQ food. Nice manager running it.
Bring your own tennis courts as they have some very well maintained lighted courts or just pay $6 to rental some racquets.
The WIFI worked great throughout the whole resort - totally unexpected !!
Nightly entertainment by the pool side with a cash bar and you can have a great view of the mountains.
We only tried one of the restaurants beside the tiki bar. The menu is good and reasonable price. When I was there, it was raining so we stayed inside. On a sunny day, they have an outside restaurant area that I wished I had tried.
My friends tried the breakfast buffet, it was $10 but may not get your value but you don't have to drive 20-min out from the resort to get something.
The resort is located in West Kelowna on the Westside road which is about 20-min drive to Westbank or Kelowna DT. Once you get there, you will have everything.
Buy your drinks and food from town on your way in to the resort.
Enjoy the natural amenities
Enjoy the Tiki bar - sit by the beach and look out into the lake
Either drive your own car within the resort or call for shuttle to get around the hilly driveways.
Be ready to do some walking with elevations!
Lakeside Inns do not have elevators.
Terrace Inns have elevators.
Hope the manger will get the hot tub fixed - out of operation since at least July.
Clean the swimming pool better.
There are some front desk staff that can be improved with some hotel-type client service.
Wish they would respond to emails as they were rude that I had called to make inquiries.
Big thank you's:
Kimberly - front desk staff - very friendly, helpful, and efficient.
Westside Road has blasting and road constructions between 9:30am and 3:30pm with a 1-hr break btw 11:30-12:30pm. This is a big pain but work around it.
Some great rates available as people had cancelled because of the wildfire (all contained) and the road constructions (just need to know the schedule).
Don't miss out !!
