Have eaten here twice in the space of two days, as the food and service are outstanding. Generous portions of well cooked food, and well presented on hot, pre-heated plates. This place does all the basics well, which is not commonly found elsewhere.
Shame (for us) this place is in Harston and not in Scotland.
Will definitely be back here, next time we are down visiting our family.

Popped in for a midweek evening drink , was warm and welcoming, nicely decorated. Service was a wee bit slow but quite a nice country pub to while away some time.

Called in here for a lunch on a Monday. I had "Queens Head Rump Burger, Chips & Salad" with chilli con carne as an extra. Burger had funny taste, in my opinion and was burnt on one side, chilli was poor.
We also asked for tea for five. Expecting to get a couple of large pots and extra hot water. We actually were served with one small cup of tea per person which was charged at £1.80 each!
On the plus side the pub was nice in an olde worldly way and the waitress did her best.

My wife and I stopped here late in the day for lunch whilst house hunting. The welcome was warm and friendly and despite the timing the service was solicitous. The menu was varied and food was great really good pub grub. My wife had the mushroom omelette and I had the bacon and stilton ciabatta - more than we could eat - the chips were fantastic! We would go there again particularly if we ended up living in the area. The pub was well supported and we're not surprised. Well done the Queens Head.

Nothing to dislike, meals were excellent, we had over 2 nights, lasagne, steak with vegetables and bangers with mash. So surprised we were the only patrons one night. It really is a lovely place, with friendly service.
