Friisgarden is a place where you feel at home straight away. You'll find everything a traveler needs there, for it offers rooms, meals and drinks throughout the day, a small library and loads of atmosphere. The beautiful white wooden house dates from 1870 and that is really old for this part of the world. You can really feel the history of the place because most of the original woodwork is still visible and the furniture is well choosen to complete the image. The art on the walls (bird photographs) was stunning. We really felt at ease there during our five day stay because the staff is very friendly and easy going and the artistic landlady is welcoming and sociable. There is room outside both in the front of the house as on a small terrace in the backyard to enjoy good coffee and fresh cakes. The breakfasts are plentiful and the evening meals are simple but good. We slept in a fast room with four good beds in it that was very comfortable but a bit dark. If you like stepping back in time and can appreciate the simple pleasures of life without needless luxury, this is your place!

Nice cosy rooms in a well kept wooden house in Ramberg.
Bed & Breakfast, Cafe and Pub - all at one place.
Perhaps the dinner is to be ordered in advance, we were served Bacalao.

We didn't stay in the Hotel (it looked lovely though) but were camping nearby and happened upon this lovely little cafe. Cool old jazz records were played on an old turntable and we had some amazing homemade cakes with two local beers. They even warmed up our cakes and served them with yummy ice cream for us! The decor was Scandinavia/ vintage with mismatched furniture but beautifully put together. We sat on the decked terrace out the back next to a lovely wild flower garden with view of the mountains behind. The staff were really friendly. Reasonably priced.

I stayed in Friisgården in Ramberg last week. The lady working in this B&B was very friendly. The place was nice and cozy and very welcoming and we really didn't want to leave the place. The rooms are beatifully furnished in old style fashion. The breakfast was the best! I would come back again and stay at this place!
Room tip: The bedroom for 2 person is quite small. The price difference between the 2 person bedroom and 3 person bedroom is not that much.
