The chicken scalope is awesome, the beer excellent, the athmosphere is fantastic. It is not cheap although there is only seating outside, but well worth it!!!! One of the hidden gems in London. A must when the weather is nice, but call to reserve a table as it gets really crowded!!!!

Although this restaurant majors on sausages and beer, it is also possible to eat in a less hearty and less meaty manner! A vegetarian friend and I shared a brie salad and plate of their wonderful potato salad, and were well pleased, while our more meaty companion had the goulash and also liked it. It's one of those places where you choose a table and then order food, which arrives with quite startling speed. They are very strict on their alcohol-only-with-food rule, which given the location is fair enough, but does mean that the process of getting drinks with the meal feels quite complicated, but that's the only real downside of the place.

Stein’s is a Bavarian-style restaurant located in a lovely location on the Thames river. With only outdoor seating it is an authentic beer garden with German beers and meals.

Jane & I both had the schnitzel and it was huge, well cooked and accompanied by german potato salad (which I thought was a bit too salty, but otherwise good).

I enjoyed a Paulaner lager and Jane had an Austrian Lemonade that was great.

The meal was well priced and we would happily return

Give it a try. You order at the kiosk and must order food if you want beer due to license restrictions. Currywurst sausage is delicious and so are the salads. Try to save room for an apple strudel.

we love this place we always end up thee when we go to visit friend and alway order loads it's always spot on if you love meat and sausages and all meat products you will love this place and the sweet mustard ooooh and the HUGE jugs of beer for which the restaurant is famed and named. Deffo give it a try , but book to avoid disappointment on a weekend lunch time, remember Weekends in Richmond by the river is overrun by family's with small children. But this place rocks so long as the sun shines:-D
