After pre-booking to use with my 'tastecard', we found the Amadora restaurant easily enough. It is a stone's throw from the lovely Richmond green, and on a summers evening it was a lovely choice of restaurant. There were one or two tables outside, but we opted for a table inside. The staff were quick to seat us, and were very friendly. They even charged my phone for me while I was eating. We both ordered the Bolognese and one ordered the salmon salad starter, and the other the tiramisu dessert. The food was very quick to be ready and we opted for a bottle of house wine to share. I found the restaurant to have a lovely, sociable feel, and the staff added to that. If anything this is an Italian restaurant, in which you should ignore the boutique aspect, and concentrate on the simple home cooking style of the Italian food. Admittedly, without a discount card, you are paying Richmond prices, but we found it very reasonable. I would say though that the pasta is on the smaller side in terms of portions, but that was my only gripe. It was very nice...so I would have liked a little more. In all a lovely pre-theatre meal.
