Staying in Richmond with my wife we saw this restaurant by chance and stepped in to see the menu as none are displayed.

We were told that there is no menu, we would be brought a selection of antipasti, pasta, main course and desert, leaving us to pick the wine.

The place looked very small but inviting with starched white table cloths and a good feel to it so we booked for the following night.

We were not disappointed at all, a great selection of dishes were presented and consumed with enthusiasm and joy, well worth the visit and we'll be back for more of the same!

On the downside, the restaurant is very small and tables are very close together so interaction with fellow diners may be hard to avoid unless you only have eyes for your companion!

There were so many separate dishes that the meal took quite a long time to get through but that was part of the experience, as long as you're not after a quick snack.

Well worth a try but booking is essential.

This is a truly great restaurant. but best call now and book as they can get very busy.
Its a superb location, the food is second to none and the atmosphere amazing. If you like food and you like a glass of wine- come here.

Ate here with a group

Struggled to get a booking for 8 people but I know now why it wasn't easy!

This is the best restaurant in the area by a long way for atmosphere, service and food

I loved the fact there is no wine list (red or white?)
I loved the fact there is no menu - you are brought what is seasonal and good at the time

We were served

Various home made antipasti, including grilled aubergine, mushrooms on smoked cheese, lovely parma ham with figs and melon
Fish courses - salmon with beetroot and salad, scallops in shell, prawns in tomato
Carpaccio
Pasta courses - tortelli then lasagne
Then the suckling pig...
Dessert - Strawberry with panacotta
Coffee / limoncello / grappa
Brownies

I can't even count the courses but each was fabulous, Simona and her waitresses were attentive, wine was superb and overall this is worth the experience

Bill of £40 per head plus £25 per bottle for wine was not CHEAP but you get what you pay for, and this was a seriously good meal!!
