I stayed here on a day off while traveling the UK, my expectations were low but the place surprised me, all the staff we're very pleasant, and the bar maid kept me and my colleges entertained with good conversation in a sea of over 50's

we were told two things no-one under 40 comes here and certainly not from another country haha !

anyway the room was basic with a slightly odd basin in the room rather than bathroom, but was pleasant all the same with a great view of the newly refurbished pier

close to all the amenities

unfortunately Wi-Fi didn't make it past the first floor

for the sum of £30 it was an absolute bargin !

and yes they have a lift circa 1920 !

Room Tip: Ask for a room sea facing, and you'll get a great view of the Pier at night !

Just got back from spending a night at the Sandringham Hotel. Really was not expecting too much given the price but l was surprised. We had a really comfortable room that l really couldn't fault. The breakfast was well cooked, hot and adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Its an old rambling hotel in need of some updating but considering the price l think its value for money.

Great location opposite the Grand Pier. Very clean and tidy.
Staff very friendly and helpful asked if we had arrived by car and was told about the arrangement with the local NCP. £2 for 24 hours!
Will stay again

We stayed here for one night as a short break.Refurbished room on the fourth floor was large enough, well decorated with a good en-suite. Lovely breakfast in the morning served by very cheery staff. We got there at .6 30 and found that we could not eat in the restaurant because they had a coach party in who all eat at 6.00, so chef would not be prepared for us. No problem, if you walk out of the hotel, turn left or right, there are plenty of places to eat.All in all, a nice well run hotel.

We joined our friends who were on a coach party to the Sandringham for a long weekend. It was very enjoyable from the start, we were on the 4th floor, reached by lift, the bedroom was very new and very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. The meals were more than enough and the staff very friendly and efficient. The 2 evening entertainers were just right for the clientele's age group!!

A bonus for the ladies, the shopping centre was only a few yards away.

Room Tip: 4th floor appeared to be a new wing, we had a room overlooking the pier.

We stayed as a family of three in two rooms at the Sandringham on the 30th to 31st October 2013. The rooms we had were on the 4th floor, very clean, spacious and warm. The shower was hot and the tea making facilities very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was filling and wholesome with a good selection for every preference. The only drawback we had was because it is a seafront accommodation closely street parking is at a premium. The closely shopping centre has parking but you obviously pay the price. We would recommend this hotel to anyone using it as a base to explore the region, enjoy the views across the wide beach and to enjoy the local night life during high season. We certainly would use the hotel again.

Room Tip: We had room 413 which had been recently refurbished and our son had 408 which hadn't but was sti...

If you want to have a laugh and a good time this is the place to stay .Staff are very friendly but in some ways it feels like you have turned up in an episode of Fawlty towers .Finding your room is a challenge as it's a maze of corridors and you are more likely to find yourself back where you started.
There is a lift that has come right out of an Agatha Christie novel with big metal sliding doors that you have to hope has been closed properly by the last person that used it or your going into that maze.
Whilst the rooms are basic they are clean and i was only woken up for the 5th time with the sound of water gurgling up through my sink . The food was good and you were waited on by staff who were nice, the bar was also great with live music and a game of bingo no matter what age you are you can't beat a good game.
For all it's faults we found it funny to the point it made our stay more enjoyable , we really did enjoy it and would stay again as we were made to feel like we were on holiday and to top it all you get great value for you money. x

Room Tip: Just enjoy it
