We had a fantastic weekend stay at the Beachlands Hotel, Somerset - room was great, well presented, used swimming pool everyday - clean, an ideal size. Staff were very helpful and friendly and food was absolutely excellent. Will definitely stay again.

We wanted to go to Weston for a while and happened upon Beachlands hotel, which on TA has great reviews, We were not disappointed, it is a very good 3* hotel with lots of communal areas to relax in. There is also a bar that is reasonably priced, but best of all is a 10m indoor swimming pool and sauna. There is also plenty of off street parking.
The whole hotel is clean, tidy and a little quirky which adds a nice homely feel to the place, the staff are fantastic all were very attentive and nothing was too much. The owners were great nice genuine people and willing to help.
We were warned that weekend there was a party on in the hotel Saturday night and there might be noise, the owners were happy to stick us in an annex room away from where the party would be. In the end there were no noise issues and we had a very peaceful stay.
The room itself was large, very clean and tidy with a bit of a theme by way of botanical wall paper and carved dark wooden furniture all done to a high standand.

the cooked breakfast was of a high standard and well recommended, it was good enough to convince us to eat dinner at the hotel one night. This turned out to be of an even higher standard and good value too, not to mention convenient.

The hotel is about 15mins walk from the town centre and only a couple of minutes from the beach, so for a quieter stay this location is perfect. We will definitely return and would recommend this hotel.

We needed to stay in Weston as my husband was working in the area for a couple of days. Booked in a hurry, I didn't expect too much from the hotel although the pictures were promising...what a fantastic hotel - we could not fault the venue, location nor the wonderful attentive service we experienced. The hotel communal areas and our room were clean, tastefully decorated and relaxing. The restaurant offered a varied menu and we dined both nights, and on both occasions were suitably impressed. The owner was welcoming, professional and accommodating - offering us a very early take out breakfast, snacks in the afternoon and help with any questions we had regarding the area. And all this topped with a lovely warm indoor pool and sauna! We will be back for a return stay when we can.

Room Tip: Ask about the variety of themed rooms as there are many to choose from

Stayed here to meet up with friends for a little weekend break as we had never visited Weston before.
First impressions were positive as there is good off road parking and the hotel seemed to be clean and tidy and well looked after which isn't always the case.
Unfortunately things went a bit wrong after that when we were shown to our room. First impressions here were not positive at all.
On entering the room we were surprised to hear what seemed to be a loud fan. After putting the bags down it didn't take long to find where the noise was coming from. We had been given the room, what seemed to be, directly above the kitchen. The noise was coming from a large extractor unit that exited the kitchen directly below one of the windows then turned and ran the length of the room. The noise was awful. Remember this is an industrial fan and not a little bathroom extractor.
I called reception to ask about the noise and was told that it wouldn't be running all night so thought we would take a chance and stay where we were as we were going out for the evening and it would be switched off by the time we returned.
The good news when we returned was that the fan had indeed been switched off. The bad news was that it transpired that we had also been unfortunate enough to be situated next to what I believe was the boiler room. The noise from this went on all night. In fact it was made worse by the fact that the noise would stop from time to time only to start up again a minute or so later. It was like a form of Chinese water torture.
Oh, and the extractor fan kicked in again at about 6.30 - 7.00 but by then it didn't matter as I had been awake all night anyway.
Apart from that the room was nice..............Although you couldn't pay me enough to stay in there again.
We went down to a world class breakfast after which we had a word with the nice lady on reception. She told us that they had never had any complaints about the room but, frankly, I find this very difficult to believe.
Despite the previous lack of complaints she said she would see about getting us relocated while we were out for the day.
After returning to the hotel we were given a very nice room at the front of the hotel. The receptionist explained that there was a reception being held at the hotel that night so there may be increased noise levels up to 1 or 2am. In the end there was no disruption whatsoever from the party.

Apart from the above there was not much else to complain about. The staff were nice and pleasant and the food was fine. Even the wifi connection was good.
It's just a shame that our stay was ruined by being given a room that really shouldn't be let out to anyone. Or, if it is, at least give the guests some warning.

As an aside at one time you could leave a recommendation on a review but this feature seems to have disappeared.
If it were still possible I would have two.
Firstly confirm that you are not being given the room over the kitchen.
Secondly go and visit the motor scooter museum in the town centre. It's a real hidden gem.

Our stay here lasted all of 7 minuets: Booked a room that morning, was told "all our rooms are nice" by the gentleman who took my deposit.
On arrival we were told dinner would be served in "the bunker" (Green Room) We were then shown to our room: A converted Garage type affair in the garden! The room had a lovely view of the Car Park, more troubling though was the overpowering smell of Chlorine/Bleach I imagine wafting from the swimming pool area. Needless to say this was not going to be the "enjoyable break" we'd anticipated. We made our way back to reception to see if we could move rooms, though nothing was available, probably just as well. Enquired about a refund, nothing doing, the owner had gone home.
I'm sure this "guest house" is great if you are in the 70+ age bracket. Not sure it's worthy of such rave reviews though!

We made a good choice with this one! Quiet, spotless, attentive service, lovely décor and overall a super place to relax for the weekend.

Food was lovely (we breakfast only, no dinner), and there was plenty of it. Enjoyed the sauna and pool, and just had the most lovely weekend away.

The only possible downside is that it's a bit of a way from town - but this is also a plus! It's a completely level walk into town though, and there are plenty of buses that go from across the road. Would recommend very highly, and would definitely go back there again.

Room Tip: We had a room next to the garden: spotless and quiet. Recommended.

So excited to have found this quietly magnificent little hotel a skip away from the beach. Run by people who definitely understand that any night away from home should be a treat. Welcoming, polished service, a surprise sauna beside the pool and an outstanding breakfast. (A 'proper', perfectly cooked breakfast with HOT toast, part of the booking.com package, that the hotel were happy to send via room service until as late as 10.15 a.m, for a minimal charge of £5. ) I stayed for one night with my teenage daughter who felt she had been treated to a mini 'spa' break. They were so accommodating that after check out, we were able to spend the day on the beach and return for a sauna and swim for a reasonable charge. This made an enormous difference to our trip.We loved the room, the power of the showers and the thought put into the decor, comfort and detail. ( Even the magazines…...National Geographic Traveller. :) Loved this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the road overlook the expanse of green of the golf course and we were not disturbed by...
