this is a lovely beach that only us locals really no about its ideal to walk for all, dogs kids or couples you can walk from one end to the other or just half way there are 3 free car park one with loos to or go right to the end and park up and walk along sand point with lovely views and even better on a clear sunny day, my dogs love to swim in the sea and chase balls and the kids love finding stones and shells. A great place for some piece and quite.

“Beautiful for a walk”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

Lovely quiet Beach, which is sandy rather than muddy or pebbley like the neighbouring ones. Perfect for dog walks, it is nestled in between Weston woods at one end and a saltmarsh at the other end which runs along side a National Trust area of interest of Sand Point, a peninsula that sticks out into the sea (also great for a walk)

“Not an attraction”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

This is a location rather than a tourist attraction. Apart from walking along the beach there is not very much to do here. The beach is not the prettiest in the country either with the south end a rather ugly salt marsh.
Sand Point at the end of the bay is a nicer walk or you could walk out to Middle Hope.

“Away from the busy side of town”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

Sand Bay is a short journey from the main areas of Weston, travelling the coast road through the woods is enjoyable, even more fun to take your bike on the path at the side of the road in the woods, though this may be a bit extreme for the more gentle rider.

I have used the area several times as a photoshoot location and I will be back some time soon.

This is not a busy seaside town area, more quiet coastal resort and all the better for it.

“a great hike through the woods”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

We walks from the woods above weston along a big trail that leads you through the remains of a stone age fort then you pass a fun adventure park in the middle of the woods, don't miss it its worth it! After this carry on down the road to the monks steps that take you down through a church yard and into the village. Stop at the New Inn pub for a beer and take the open top double decker back. A great day out!
