The Queens is local to us and have eaten here so many times for both lunch and dinner over the past few years I've lost count. Always worth making a booking for Saturday night otherwise you might not get a table until 9pm or later when the earlier diners have finished.

There is a good choice of beers and many wines by the glass and sometimes there is a bit of a wait for food if it's busy but worth waiting for. Staff are friendly, the portions generous and nicely presented and there is always a good selection of specials on the blackboard in addition to the main menu - a couple of Saturdays ago when we were last there, there were an additional 2 starters and 5/ 6 main courses to choose from so don't decide not to go because the on-line menu doesn't suit! Vegetarians are well catered for but there isn't much for young children apart from a kids menu(no playground or play area) but high chairs can be supplied.

Can't recommend the Queens highly enough!

we are doggie people so this was a great pub for us, every table had a tired pooch underneath it, the food was great the staff were excellent, the fire was lovely and did i mention the staff were excellent, oh yes but its worth mentioning twice, lovely pub this, its very slightly off the main tourist route but very well worth finding. i loved this pub, after a long walk with pooch you can enjoy a lovely meal a few pints and chat to others whose dogs are just as tired as yours, we had a lovely afternoon here, its a gem not to be missed.

We visited the Queens Arms today for a family get together, this pub is not local to us but we had heard such good reviews that we decided to try it for ourselves. It was a cold, wet day so we were pleased to be shown to a cosy table in the snug bar next to a roaring fire. The pub itself has a warm atmosphere, with helpful staff and a friendly landlord. We all chose the sunday roast and what a good choice. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth, nicely seasoned roast potatoes and huge fluffy yorkshire puddings complemented by a selection of six different vegetables which tasted freshly cooked. After finishing our meals we all agreed the dishes being served to other diners looked equally delicious. There is no greater compliment than four empty plates and a promise to return again!

We visited the Queens Arms based on proximity to the hotel we were staying in Edinworth and previous reviews and we were not disappointed.

It has a burning fire and the staff were friendly and there was a good choice of ales and wines as well as a varied menu. The portions were a generous size and the food very pleasant so all in all we had a very nice visit and I would definitely recommend the pub to anyone who fancies popping out for a meal!

NB: My ratings for romance and special occasions are in lieu of a N/A option so no criticism intended.

Lovely cosy, country-style pub. Great food and a varied menu, lovely selection of beers and wine with good, friendly service. Often busy as it is popular with locals and visitors alike. Dogs also welcome, which is a bonus. One of our regular haunts, especially after a long walk!
