Found this place by chance on way to theatre so popped in. Even though it was busy managed to fit us in , checked when our show started and checked with chef before seating us. The meal was very reasonable and the food was excelelnt. Everything was cooked from fresh and the staff where extremely helpful and friendly. Would certainly go here again and would recommend to anyone in the area.

my husband and I visit Weston super mare occasionally but have never really found anywhere that we have been happy to eat in more than once. Don't get me wrong - everywhere has been adequate, but not really somewhere we would want to visit again. However, today, we found the Grove Bistro quite by accident and decided to give it a try. We ordered from the "2 courses for £10.50" menu and were pleasantly surprised!

When we entered the establishment at around 1pm, there were only three tables occupied, but by the time we left, every table was occupied. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. There were two young ladies serving who were perfectly pleasant and very helpful. Our food was lovely - I had the garlic mushrooms to start and my husband had the pate and they both looked and tasted wonderful. I had the lasagne for main course and my husband had the ham, chicken and mushroom pie and raved about it for a while afterwards - very high praise coming from a man who doesn't usually care if he eats or not! We didn't have a dessert as we were incredibly full, but were salivating over a strawberry and cream concoction that we saw someone else eating!

We feel we have found THE place to eat when we visit WSM in the future - thanks to the staff.

I visited the Grove on Friday 28 February. There was a set menu. Two gentlemen sang a wide variety of songs throughout the evening which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is small and well presented as are the toilets. They offered wine all colours at £10 a bottle. The service was very good with attentive waitresses in particular Karen. A nice touch was that many people seemed to recognise each other as they were regular visitors and the artists did a meet and greet as did the owner/chef Steve. We both enjoyed our evening as the entertainment made it. It was in my opinion value for money and offered something different to our usual night outs. We hope to return in the future.

This restaurant is but a few paces from The Playhouse theatre which makes it an ideal place to eat beforehand.
The menu is fantastic and we had all sorts from a tuna steak to a fillet of pork. All of our food was brilliantly cooked and presented. If the decor was a little more luxurious it would be in keeping with a top of the range restaurant which could command higher prices without question.
The waitresses were brilliant and very helpful.
The beer selection was limited but this is a restaurant and not a pub.
As far as value for money goes , it is well worth it. The chef is excellent.
Eaten there before and will do so again.

Visited here again for Sunday lunch ,(twice recently ) ,the meal was excellent ,well cooked ,well presented and value for money (main course only £7.50)
The restaurant tries to do its best ,it cares about its customers ,its food and it's own reputation .
I would always make a point of booking to ensure your table .
There are not many places in town where you know you will be guaranteed a good meal .
