We had a very enjoyable lunch today. A good selection of starters, mains and sweets. I had a very tasty roast beef main course. The vegetables were cooked really nicely, the potatoes were crisp and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is in a very convenient spot, close to the sea front and there is an attractive garden to sit in if the sun shines. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

We have been meaning to try out the restaurant here for a while and my husbands birthday seemed a good time. The restaurant is in a lovely room, elegantly decorated. We made our menu choices while sitting on sofas by a log fire and were brought olives, nuts and canapés while we decided. When we moved to our table we were also brought an amuse-bouche of poached salmon which was appreciated. All the 3 courses we both had were beautifully cooked and presented, and full of flavour. Highlights were Wild Boar salami salad, Exmoor duck with orange flavours, and an almond and amaretto dessert (which was heaven). Weston is full of restaurants, some of which are pleasant enough but this is in another league. There is probably only 1 other restaurant in the Weston area that does fine dining to this standard and on this night the Oak and Glass was the best. We need another excuse to visit again soon!

We eat as often as we can at Oak and Glass,; but last December, we took our Lunch club members there for their Christmas Lunch. They were so excited at going there, and on the day, they could not praise Amy and ALL her staff enough for such a wonderful meal, ambience and such caring kind staff. They all worked extremely hard and we hope to take the lunch club members there again this December, so AMY, get ready!!!! They are all raring to come again.!!!!
On a personal note, Oak and Glass is our No,1 venue for eating out., and this includes our family from Bournemouth. The menus, wines, service and special diet for me are fantastic.
