Wonderful pub. Great atmosphere. Warm and friendly. Lovely selection of wines and on tap beer and stout. Food is spot on. Cheese board and nachos dish are particular favourites.

Went to the fork n ale for my daughter’s birthday this afternoon. Had pre booked so had no concerns there. Had a message from them in the morning to confirm the booking and check party numbers, nice touch. Then came the food !! Being a hungry group of carnivores we all ordered the burger , and what a choice. Perfectly cooked burger sausage and bacon in a toasted bun, chef even made my 7 year old 3 mini burgers which just added to the day. Beer was amazing too ! If you love your stout Ebon is the one for you. Team were really polite and non intrusive however there was never an empty glass on the table which showed attention to detail on their part. Even chef came over for a chat at the end of the meal, nice touch. Shows confidence in his cooking.
To summarise, perfect food, perfect service. Just what you need. Highly recommend the Fork n Ale.

Fork 'n' Ale is the latest addition to Weston's real ale outlets. Formerly Bonds Wine Bar (and before that The Town Crier), Fork 'n' Ale is conveniently located near bus stops and the Odeon Cinema in the town centre. Only opened on 2nd November, the pub serves a range of real ales from Pitchfork and other guest ales - all at reasonable prices - as well as coffees, soft drinks, wines, etc.
There will be food available as well, once the kitchen installation is completed in another week or so - so could well rise to a 5* rating from me thereafter.
A good atmosphere with friendly staff, this place looks set to be a regular watering hole and, if traditional Sea-Shanty singing is your thing, The Steepholmers, Weston's Shanty group, perform here at 8pm every 3rd Wednesday in the month. Come and enjoy some great ales and a good old sing-song to boot!
