“Brilliant family friendly hotel - would recommend”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Stayed here two nights in October 2013 as a family group with ages ranging from 20 months up to 60 years old. Phil, Lorraine and Amy made us feel very welcome in their hotel and were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived until we left. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable, the room had everything you could need - hair dryer, tv etc. Breakfast was delicious and they catered for everyones needs. Great central location, just a short walk from the beach and pier. Overall a fantastic, comfortable stay. I would definately stay here again, and recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Weston-super-mare.

I found this to be a very pleasant Hotel, very clean, quiet and friendly, I stayed in Room 1A, this is a twin room with a nice ensuite including a large shower cubicle.
If I was in Weston super mare again I would certainly be happy to return to the Braeside Hotel.
Phillip & Lorraine could have been more helpful. Breakfast was very good. Great hotel.

Had a great two night break at Braeside. Phil and Lorraine made us so welcome. Lovely comfortable room. Breakfast marvellous. Took turns to have breakfast due to cookie our Shih Tsu but could have had breakfast in lounge together with dog. Were invited for coffee and were entertained by their daughter and her friend. Cookie made friends with Bailey their Lhasa Apso puppy. Were not disappointed by previous reviews. Would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

My wife, myself and 2 of our grandchildren stayed at the Braeside for one night on 19 August. We picked the Braeside because of the positive reviews it has been receiving and we weren't disappointed. Without doubt the outstanding feature of the Braeside is the welcome you receive from Phil & Lorraine. They cannot do enough to ensure your stay is a positive one. I believe they are feeling some pressure from the positive reviews they are getting, probably because, as relatively new owners, they have yet to fully stamp their mark on the place. It is true that the hotel is a little old fashioned (Phil has plans to put this right starting with flat screen TVs) but the rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast plentiful and well cooked. The hotel has a pleasant lounge area and the bedrooms, if ours is anything to go by, are spacious. The icing on the cake (if you visit as a family) is the entertainments manager Amy (Phil & Lorraine's 7 year old daughter). She was fabulous with our 2 grandchildren aged 5 and 3. We would certainly use the Braeside if we were to visit Weston in the future.

Room Tip: Try for a room at the front to get a sea/pier view.

Stayed here for 1 night on Saturday 17th August with our big malamute doggy! We had a very warm welcome from Phil and Lorraine, room was nice and clean, breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was outstanding, we were served breakfast In the lounge away from other guests due to us having our dog with us, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return. Thanks for all the info on America Phil!
