We stayed here for seven weeks! when a house we were buying locally went belly up right at the last moment and we needed emergency accomodation while we sorted ourselves out. Luckily it turned out to be a good move as this is a modern, small but very comfortable and clean cottage with everything you need for a holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stay.
In the living area there is a high ceiling making it feel much bigger. The kitchen is small but perfectly adequate for two people. You also have a very comfortable bed and lovely shower.
Opposite there are picnic tables overlooking a large pond and field with Shetland ponies, pigs, sheep, ducks and geese. On a fine evening we loved having a drink here with the animals all around looking at the view up to Bleadon Hill.
Its only 5 minutes drive into Weston and yet its very peaceful. Bleadon itself is a lovely friendly village with a good farm shop that does very good breakfasts and lunches. The pub is recommended, good food and beers.
Nearby there are some great walks. From the cottage you can walk to the top of Bleadon Hill which if its fine you can see from the south side right across to the Somerset Levels one end and right along the coast to Minehead. From the Northside the view is as far as Bristol in the distance. Also recommended are walks in Uphill, Brean Down and Sand Bay.
Also a short drive away is Glastonbury Abbey and Tor, Wells and Cheddar, and of course you are close to Bristol which has loads of tourist attractions, galleries, shops and restaurants.
Paul and Trudy are excellent hosts and are always willing to help or give advice.
