“Fantastic afternoon !”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Booked afternoon tea for 32 for mothers 80th birthday. What a lovely afternoon. Sandwiches, cakes, scones with jam and cream- wonderful. Ages ranged from 20 to 87 and everyone had a wonderful afternoon. Staff attentive friendly and helpful while in no way intrusive. Jay was on holiday and Elaine and her staff did a wonderful job - thank you !

“Delicious lunch”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

Recently had a very tasty lunch here and were blown away by the size of the portion of fish and chips put in front of us. Staff were a little slow but food made up for this and the location was absolutely beautiful. Will recommend to others :)

“Great midweek dinner!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

Decided to head out of Aberdeen for a family meal and try something different. Selected the milton brasserie as had heard good things - and it came recommended by AFC's Andy Considine! Was a great choice. Nice midweek summer evening, wasn't too busy when we arrived (7pm) but staff very attentive and food excellent. Great value compared to equivalents in Aberdeen.

“Superb food and excellent service”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Have been to Milton a couple of times for lunch since Jay took over ownership and enjoyed it both times so was keen to come for dinner with friends and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has really benefitted from being smartened up and from attention to details. We were not hurried in the slightest - all the serving staff were courteous, friendly and smiling!
We were offered the choice of going to our table or sitting by the wood burning stove in the little ante room which we chose to do (I know it is June now but it was still chilly that night) and we were served drinks there.
The menu was lovely and our friends who had steaks declared that they were as good as those they had had at Gaucho's in London. There was a good choice of fish dishes as well as meat and it was all delicious. The atmosphere was good as they were quite busy that night. I look forward to returning.

“Good Restaurant”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Visited the Milton with a good friend for lunch. Hadn't been since Jay Emmerson had taken over. As good as ever! Service friendly and efficient. Food delicious and plentiful. Everything nice and hot. Chairs and couches recovered. Décor redone and looking good. The only thing that lets this building down is the hessian on the ceiling. Will look forward to a return visit.
