We called in here as we were staying at the Best Western Hotel a couple of doors away and we didn't fancy the breakfast there.
Lovely coffee served with a smile in a pleasant and bright atmosphere.

First trip to Banchory ever and a crowd of us popped in for coffee and ended up having lunch.

Soup, sandwiches all round served with various combos of teas, coffees, juices and drinks and the orders were all spot on. The guy taking the orders deserved a medal for getting it right as many changed their minds on numerous occasions! Service with a handsome smile!

Only criticism is that there is no table service (orders placed at the counter). Seems a little archaic and canteen-like for somewhere that is charging top end prices (and that is the only reason I didn't mark them excellent).

Otherwise, I would say this is a "must-visit" when in Banchory.

Had a Cappuccino and a toasted sandwich, both of which arrived promptly.

Having shopped around I can safely say that without a doubt Tease has the best coffee in the village. Their baristas know their stuff: My Cappuccino had nearly a solid inch of dense milk foam and a strong, rich flavour - served in an acceptably sized cup rather than one of these soup bowls some places try to pass off! Haven't tried their teas, but there are two whole shelves of them behind the counter, if that's your thing.

If I was looking for good food I would go to a restaurant. If I wanted cake, I'd visit a patisserie - though admittedly Banchory doesn't have one of these yet. Tease styles itself as a "coffee bar" rather than a "cafe", and when you compare their coffee to the other cafes in the village, you begin to understand why. Strongly recommended!
