“FABULOUS authentic countryside experience.”
Reviewed April 29, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

If you're looking for a quaint, authentic country experience, this is it. Kim runs a lovely country cottage with bucolic farm scenes right outside the door. We were welcomed with a freshly baked cake, a friendly greeting by both human and dog, and comfy beds perfect for a cozy, peaceful stay in the English countryside.

The location of the cottage was very convenient. Within minutes we were at Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and both coasts. As with all roads in the area, the approach is narrow in places, so easiest to arrive while still daylight if possible. Best to use a reliable GPS if available.

Kim was warm and absolutely delightful. She made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and made us feel more like old friends than new guests. She let us help her feed the three orphaned lambs before we headed out our last morning, which was WAY adorable. It was a joy to wake up in the morning and take in the quiet life outside, then to go for little walk among the horses, ducks, sheep, chickens and simple but beautiful grounds.

If we're ever back in the area, we're heading right here. Would love to stay for a month next time!

“A quiet country stay with everything close by”
Reviewed July 17, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Idyllic rural setting with the convenience of being central to all attractions.
We loved exploring the Eden project, lost gardens of Heligan, Poldark Charlestown, beaches and eating Rick Stein fish and chips at Padstow.
The farm apartment made a wonderful base and quiet retreat at the end of the day.
Thank you Kym and Heather for sharing your beautiful home and animal fun with us and the kids.

“Comfortable 2 bed apartment in the heart of Cornwall”
Reviewed May 18, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I found this to be a lovely apartment in a loft conversion. It is in a great location for either north or south Cornish coast. The apartment is spacious with two double bedrooms and a large lounge-dining-kitchen area. The apartment is on a working smallholding so remember to buy some of the duck eggs for breakfast - delicious!

“Perfect rural retreat”
Reviewed May 18, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed everything Demelza Cottage had to offer. A very comfortable and spotlessly clean apartment with spectacular and far reaching views, We particularly enjoyed the home made cake which was a pleasant surprise on arrival and the delicious duck eggs we collected for our breakfast. Whilst set in a quiet spot Demelza was perfectly suited for visiting some of the best of Cornwalls many attractions. Visiting in May we had a spectacular display of spring flowers at every turn. Kim was a perfect host throughout and nothing was to much trouble to ensure our stay was memorable.

“Great farmstay!”
Reviewed May 6, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We stayed 4 nights with Kim and her family. Got a warm welcome with cake. Lovely cosy apartment on the second floor of the house (via seperate entrance). Fabulous view of the cornish countryside with super sunsets. The kids loved the chickens and ducks and finding the eggs every morning was good fun (even in the rain).

“Lovely cottage in beautiful countryside”
Reviewed April 23, 2017 for a stay in May 2016

Our family stayed here during May 2016 bank holidays. Really nice and peaceful beautiful cottage located in countryside. Very conveniently located if you plan to visit Eden project or some of the lovely sandy beeches in Cornwall.

Host is really lovely, kept home made cake for us on our arrival and helped our children with egg collections.

Tips:
Bedroom and lounge have fans very helpfully on warm days, free Wifi.
Only point I will mentioned is if anyone having difficulty climbing stairs then may need to check.

Thanks for the lovely review Santosh. Hope you and the family are keeping well and hope to see you again some day.
We can't change the stairs, so yes, anyone with mobility difficulties might find the spiral stairs a bit of a challenge, but the view at the top is worth the climb I hope.
