“getting better all the time.....”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Landlord Paul and Head Chef Wife Jo do not rest on their laurels but are constantly seeking ways to improve their already excellent offering. Since my last visit early this summer they have added a neat little snug to the dining area by converting the old wood store/beer cellar into a cosy but bright and airy room which is ideal for parties as well as those seeking a bit of privacy. The prices here are extremely reasonable considering the high standard of cooking and service which is why the place is always busy and why it is wise to book if you want to be sure of a table. The wine list now boasts the excellent Good Ordinary Claret from Berry Brothers, as well as an excellent Gascoigne from Pellhaut. This place simply goes from strength to strength.

“great food, great host, great chef”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Only open for dining since October 2011, this lovingly restored pub offers fabulous gourmet food, great art on the walls and a unique dining experience in the different dining areas within this warm friendly pub. Paul is a great host, talking to everyone while wearing his trademark dickie bow. A must when visiting Cornwall.

“Gourmet Pub Fare in Cornwall”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

This has to be a must on anyone's visit to Cornwall. The fact that it was a midweek Tuesday and the place was packed is indicative of the local following this quaint little Inn has. It has obviously been restored with huge attention to detail and there is nothing old or musty about the place yet it has totally retained it's ambiance and appeal.

The menu is extensive for a pub - restaurant and while it has dishes that seem common to pubs there is a big difference here. the sausages for example come from a butcher who uses the whole hog to make sausages, therefore the taste is truly amazing, no greasy fatty porkers here!

There were six of us dining and the waiting staff were attentive, well trained and such a pleasure. There is nothing I could fault about the Tudy Inn and we certainly will be delighted to return on our next visit to Cornwall.

There is plenty parking at the rear and we would recommend the house wine, which was excellent and served from a bottle, not a carafe. Unfortunately we had no room left to sample the deserts!
