Centrally placed in Cornwall, we managed to visit as far afield as Falmouth on a day trip without too much bother, but on the doorstep is Lanydrock House; Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project are 15 minutes away.. anywhere you want to be in Cornwall is in easy reach. The location is on a working farm, but the lodges are in a separate section, and you wouldn't know you weren't in your own little private house! Access is by some pretty narrow lanes, but the directions are spot-on and we quickly found our way around without the sat-nav.
The 'Lodge' itself (Maple) was outstanding. We are veterans of self-catering, and have never stayed anywhere so clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. Everything we needed or wanted was there somewhere, and little touches like the buckets & spades were delightfully common. Real flowers on the table (in October!) was typical of the attention to detail here. The beds are quite soft, but comfortable, and there is apparently a choice of pillows available too. Outside are two full table & chairs sets and a barbecue. And swing-ball!
In short, we loved it.
Not long been home & we can truly say that we are missing our stay in "Willow" lodge. Our arrival had the wow factor very spacious & spotless, the cabin has everything you need, a real home from home feeling. We were welcomed with scones, jam, fudge & a great information pack about Cornwall. Tregullon is so peaceful & relaxing, all you can hear are the birds. Jill & her family make you feel so very welcome.
We have just returned from an eleven day holiday in Cornwall, we stayed four days in the Hazel Lodge which was very nice and clean. On arriving we were treated to lovely cream tea which Jill and family had left. There was coffee, tea, sugar and milk so we were able to have a drink after our long travel from Glossop. We then had the icing on the cake when we moved to the Sunnywell barn conversion, luxury living, due to fact that this was an upside down conversion there are fabulous views. We also had lovely neighbours of cows, horses, goats and not forgetting Jill and family who were very friendly and helpful, they will always spare time for you and give you advice about the area and places to eat and visit. All the best to Jill and family. Sheryl, Colin and Jean.
We have just left today and I can honestly say we already miss it, It's the best place to stay in Cornwall, the cabin has everything you could possibly need and more, we stay in the willow and it's always been spotless it's so peaceful and the views are truly amazing. I love the scones and fudge we had waiting for us when we arrived Yum Yum! Jill and her family make you feel very welcome. I give them a full 10/10 from us..
We stayed in a lodge called 'Maple' and we are a family of five. This was our first time staying in a lodge and it was simply amazing. The lodge is set in a lovely quiet rural village location and was very clean, spacious and had everything a family of five could need and more, right down to the board games and buckets and spades for the beech trips. The beds are very comfortable with lovely clean bedding and lots of fluffy towels.
We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again.
Very well done and keep up the hard work. Hopefully we'll see you soon.
Wow, from start to end our stay at holly lodge was amazing, lovely welcome, lovely location it is quiet and secluded but still close enough to reach all of Cornwall easily by car, the lodge has everything you could possible need, powerful shower, comfortable bed, gorgeous views, a family run business by some exceptional hosts Jill and her family are lovely and nothing is too much bother to them, we will definitely be coming back to tregullen farm x
Just back from our 3rd visit to Willow lodge. Still spotless and beautiful as always. These lodges contain everything you need for a lovely and relaxing stay. The only noises you can hear are the birds singing away. A luxury lodge home from home. Will be back again!
