Stayed for 3 very pleasant days. The breakfasts and dinners are wholesome, substantial and well prepared. The room we stayed in was warm, fully equiped and very comfortable. The landlord, landlady/chef and staff were attentive and friendly. A little off the beaten track but well worth the effort. Lovely local scenery and walks.

Stayed here one night before a wedding next day in nearby Altrincham - very glad I did. Rooms were in a newly converted barn next to the pub, so new furniture and fittings. Both bedroom and en-suite tastefully and comprehensively kitted out, and bed itself was a comfortable double size. Staff at the B&B were also great, nothing was too much trouble, reserved a table in the pub dining room that evening without even being asked; it is worth the trip for the food alone! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone thinking of a trip to the Peak District as location is excellent.

I stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend for one night as a romantic break. The rooms were in a converted barn and our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We stayed in the chapel room which had a beautiful view of the peak district out of the little cottagey window.

On arrival, the owner was very pleasant and had held back the last available table for us for our evening meal in case we wanted it, which we did! The meal was lovely, especially the starter and definately the desert. (You've got to try the waffles!!) The pub itself was very cosy and snug with little rooms and open fires.

We had a lovely nights sleep and breakfast was very nice with log fire. we would definately stay here again..
