“Behind the Green Door”
Reviewed October 2, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Behind the unassuming green door at 7 Seacliff Rd Bangor awaits a lovely oasis of light and quiet. Offering multiple levels of accommodation- 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 lounges with spectacular views of Belfast Lough, a spacious well equipped kitchen for meal prep and entertainment.
Owners Paul & Gillian were warm and welcoming- wine, fresh cut flowers and chocolates were awaiting our arrival. The immaculate property made our stay delightful and unfortunately short- a week flew by!
We unreservedly recommend Splash Cottage!

“We look forward to coming here all year!”
Reviewed September 6, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We come to Pauls rental every year and enjoy every moment. We could not recommend this place more. When we are here in summer the sun sets almost every night across the sea. The house is beautifully furnished and the location is great. So happy we found this NI gem!

“Beautiful place to stay!”
Reviewed March 16, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We had a lovely stay in splash cottage. The home is stunning and amazing views from ALL rooms. Every thing was clean and the welcome pack provided very handy. Paul the host was really welcoming and flexible. Lots of shops and pubs in walking distance.

“Another great stay at Splash Cottage”
Reviewed November 27, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Returned to Splash for a short stay(Friday-Monday) with grown up children (adults) loads of space for everyone. This cottage is the perfect family retreat with amazing views over the Lough. Cosy and snuggly for winter nights in. Paul and Gillian are the perfect hosts!
We arrived on a cold November Friday night but we were greeted at the cottage by Paul who had thoughtfully put the heating on for us so it was wonderfully warm.
Perfectly positioned for a short walk into bangor but not too close to noise (apart from the sea) Within easy walking distance to the train station for a short journey into Belfast city and shopping. Many beautiful beaches near by for long winter walks.
Splash Cottage is well equipped and surprisingly spacious, real coal fire if needed but honestly the cottage is warm enough. Lovely furnishings and extras. Would highly recommend splash or high tide cottage (next door) to any family or couple who would like a comfortable stay with welcoming hosts, near to a multitude of activities but secluded enough for privacy. Well equipped kitchen for cooking but very near to excellent restaurants also many takeaways will deliver! Bonus. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks again to Paul & Gillian, see you again soon!

“Splash Cittage - You won't want to leave”
Reviewed September 13, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

On arrival Paul, the owner, showed us round and left us a lovely welcome pack.
We booked the cottage having seen the photos on online, and as lovely as they are, they don't show just how spacious the cottage is.,
We spent 2 weeks in Bangor and had a fantastic time, seeing as much as we could but always looking forward to getting back to the cottage, so much so that we made sure we made the most of the cottage and spent a few of those days just being there.
With your own uninterrupted view of the sea, you will find yourself wanting to come back to this home from home as we do.
Paul has found the perfect balance of being at hand should you need him, and giving you all your time to enjoy the cottage as your own, so much so that my husband , 7 year old daughter & I felt completely at home and didn't want to leave!
I have no hesitation in highly recommending a stay in Splash Cottage on your visit to Bangor, and my only reservation in doing so would that it may compromise the availability for when we come back!

“A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed September 13, 2016 for a stay in May 2015

We had a wonderful stay in High Tide cottage which is right on Belfast Loch. The house is well equipped and has ample parking nearby. Paul was a very welcoming host. We will definitely stay here again. The views are great and a short walk takes you to Bangor town centre or Ballyholme beach. Fabulous holiday!
