“great place to stay.”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

I have just returned from anglers rest, the room was 1st floor front not on suite but that was not a problem, the view and the spacious surroundings Gina and Daves welcome more than made up for it.the whole house was spotless and very comfotable,Gina gave us tips about good eating places, and places to see ,breakfasts were really good and plenty of choice.the location is very near to all shops ,marina and lovely walks.i hope to return to this hotel and beautiful part of Ireland again sometime.

Room Tip: the front 1st has the best view but i am sure that all rooms are comfortable

We arrived before check in time and were given a place to store our luggage while we went out around Bangor. The luggage was in our room when we returned. Our room was at the front on the second floor (plus equal to one more floor up from the street). The view was fantastic. During the day we could see across the Belfast Lough and watch the ships coming in and going out. At night the sunsets and lights across the lough were spectacular. We also could see the lighted ships moving through the lough. The facilites were very clean and comfortable and the over 110 year old building was in top condition and very interesting. Breakfast was Ulster Fry with OJ, tea and coffee or any other reasonable request. It was most satisfying and the great way to start a day of sightseeind. Bacon and sausage were grilled not fried. But the most important part of our stay was Gina, the owner. She is the perfect hostess, very cheerful and friendly. She often asked if there was any thing we needed or she could do for us. We are from Portland, Oregon, USA. If we have the chance to come back to Bangor, Anglers Rest will be at the top of our list for places to stay. THANK YOU, Gina!!! You made our stay better than we could have imagined.

Arrived early evening and the owner, Georgina, offered us hot drinks. Shown to room to leave luggage and given keys to B&B.

Room was twin with 2 single beds, Wardrobe , drawers, desk and TV. Tea and coffee making facilities also in room. Decor beautiful and room spotlessly clean.

Beakfast was substancial with cerials, OJ, toast and cooked breakfasts all available. Hot tea and coffee also.

The owner,Georgina, also booked us tickets for the Titanic Exhibition on the internet after us saying we were going to see if we could get there. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely lady. She goes out of her way and then some to make sure her guests are happy.

Thank you for a lovely stay Georgina. We will be back.
