Description: Casa Salvatore started many years ago and was founded by Salvatore Vaccarino who originated from Sicily. Salvatore set up the small family business and it continued to grow from strength to strength. In 2007, he decided that it was time to retire. Colin Cruickshank, who has worked and trained as Head Chef with Salvatore since 1997 decided that becoming the owner of Casa Salvatore would be a great opportunity. Colin and his wife, Jill, bought over the restaurant and have continued with the same traditional Italian family traditions. Casa Salvatore take great pride in using both fresh and local ingredients, personally selected Italian produce, to provide a truly authentic and intimate dining experience. "We would personally like to thank all our staff, customers, friends and family for all their support over the years. We could not have done it without you. We hope that our customers enjoy the excitement of our new menu and enjoy many of our new dishes. Any questions you may have we would be happy to answer" Grazie e buon divertimento! Buon appetito! (Thank you and enjoy!) Colin & Jill x

“disappointing meal”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

the restaurant was not busy as it was a Monday night, but the service was slow, the food was okay and i had a seafood dish that mainly consisted of mussels which was disappointing as i would have prefered a more balance of different sea food. My dessert came on a chipped plate, so quite disappointed with the whole service.

“Top Quality Food”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

We have been coming here since Sal and Bea owned the place and the quality of food has remained consistently high. I feel the portion sizes are spot on, not too much that you are never able for dessert and never too little that you need a snack on the way home!!!
Pasta dishes can be served as starters (as if there is not enough variety already in the menu!!!). There is a wide variety in the table menus and also the special boards can be pretty special.
Sal used to sing a couple of Italian / opera songs at the end of the evening (and took requests!!) but we won't hold that against the current owners. Superb restaurant.

“Sensational Salvatore!”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

Have been here numerous times and it is always delicious. Ate here last night and all 4 starters and mains were excellent. Starter of pre shelled mussels in a tomato sauce was especially impressive. As my main I had a mixed seafood pasta and it was delicious, unlike many places they did not skimp on the number of Scallops either. My husband's steak and parsnip crisps was wonderful. Also impressed that a bottle of pinot grigio was only £14 too.
