We have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times over the years and have found the experience more than good every time. The food is excellent as is the great service and cosy atmosphere. It really is a great service from start to finish. Hope to visit again soon.

When we arrived on a Sunday evening, we were the first table to be seated at 6pm and there was no rush at all to be out by a specific time which made for a very relaxed evening.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the food was fantastic.

On arrival we were offered a wide choice of speciality breads and were provided with a variety of canapés - the haggis bon bons were fantastic! We then ordered from the a la carte menu. For starter, we opted for the Apple and Black Pudding Tart and the Chef's special of Mussels. For mains we decided on the pork belly and the Venison, both were beautifully cooked. And for dessert we went for the pear and chocolate tart and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.

The whole meal was fantastic, the staff were brilliant and the food delicious, we will be back!

Fantastic Saturday evening at Eat on the Green. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after by very polite and efficient staff who were immaculately presented. The menu was excellent, plenty of choice and the tasters available at each course are a fantasic introduction the the chefs varied and interesting skills.
We were not rushed at all, very relaxed and the next course would arrive at the right time. All of the food was perfectly cooked and we enjoyed every bite.
There was no overcrowding in the restaurant as is frequent in high end places in this area, at no point did we feel that other tables were imposing on our privacy.
All in all a great evening, well done to the proprietors.
We will be back!

Visited recently with my girlfriend to celebrate a special occasion. The food was fantastic...we both tried different things, around 8 or 9 different dishes between us, and each of them were amazing, especially the beef. There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant but the tables are too close together and you could pick and choose which conversation to listen to if you so desire. Some of the younger waiters and waitresses are over the top with their manners, as if they've been told to be nicer than nice, which made me squirm a wee bit (my girlfriend disagreed and thought it was nice), but they were very attentive. The area itself is lovely and is a great place to take relatives from out of town. The 'sneaky' part relates to when we phoned to make the reservation, the nice offer of 2 welcome glasses of champagne was accepted graciously, possibly naively...we did indeed receive the 2 (small) glasses but we also received an extra £20 on our bill for the trouble, which left a bad taste. However the place was very nice and I would certainly go back. It isn't cheap but it's very good value for money (champagne excluded).

What a lovely lunch we had in a quaint little village green! The restaurant is cosy and charming, the food superb, and the service impeccable. We were especially appreciative of the staff accommodating out children so well with appropriate meals. Thank you for a memorable experience!
