“Utterly disappointed!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Had heard so much about this place, tried to get a booking since about Xmas, was very excited to finally be going! Then it all went wrong. Starter was lovely but the main course beef was not edible - tough and overcooked! When I complained about this I felt the waiter in a suit didn't really care or take me seriously. Also thought it was off putting that the chef kept appearing while everyone was trying to eat their meals.
On a positive note the atmosphere was nice and the brûlée was one of the best I've had.
Unfortunately I will not be returning nor be recommending to any friends or family.

“Fabulous lunch, couldn't fault a thing!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch here last week and it was absolutely amazing! Every dish had the wow factor in presentation and in flavour.
The taste dishes I would highly recommend if you can't decide what to go for. Will definitely be back here.

“Eat on the Green”

One of many visits to our local restaurant .This time with an old friend ,who was very impressed with all this venue had to offer.
We were not disappointed and felt welcome and comfortable from start to finish.
The food was divine, this time we both ate the wild venison for our main course cooked in a beetroot juis.
Desert comprised of creme brûlée for myself and a selection if cheeses for my friend.
Staff took the time to describe the cheeses as they did with the canapés and stater.
Despite a very busy evening in the kitchen Craig Wilson the chef came out to chat with the diners and sought feedback on the meal.
Thanks to all the staff for a great evening.

“Just Fabulous”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Dinner on a Friday night was a great experience! From the attentive staff, the unobtrusive singer (who was very good and not over powering), great service and oh yes, fantastic food. The presentation of all the dishes was of a very high standard, the menu varied and interesting with something for everyone in our group and the combination of flavours was excellent. The venison and beef were very good though if I was to be picky, I would comment that the home cooked chips were soft and tasted a bit fatty. Suggest you try the starter and sweet course ‘Little Taste of Eat on the Green’ as they are beautiful selections.
We will be back, thank you!

“First Visit-not last”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

I recently flew to Aberdeen to stay weekend with friend who I shared accommodation with in St Andrews in mid 1970's We had not met up for 37 years!! She lives in Udny Green and after 2 min walk we arrived at Eat on The Green. From moment we entered till we left I can't praise the service and surroundings and quality of food highly enough. It was an enjoyable and excellent meal and deserves to be rated very highly. I had the Wild Venison for my main course and I found it delicious yet chef felt the sauce too sweet and came to discuss after we had eaten. This venue is superb in all manners and I can't wait to visit again. Thank you to all staff
