“Disappointing property”
Reviewed September 20, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Description said there was a garden, but there was only a terrace. Not good for dogs. Also oak tree shedding twigs and acorns constantly which are dangerous for dogs. We had to constantly watch them. Huge shock was the brown water. We spent a fortune on bottled water as couldn't bring ourselves to drink it or wash in it, even though info said it was OK! Tin opener didn't work, frying pan for omelette was still dirty. Crockery crazed. Very steep twisting rutted road to property very difficult. No nearby walks unless you are very fit. Thick heavy duvets on beds. All in all, an expensive mistake. No one from rental company has asked for feedback. Not a cheap rental either, £20 per dog, plus £65 booking/cancellation charge. Won't be returning.

“we could not have picked a better house to rent”
Reviewed June 6, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This was the perfect house for a week's rental for a family of seven.
The house itself was well-equipped, clean and obviously well-maintained, with all the facilities we could reasonably have expected - four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a substantial lounge, and good-sized kitchen and dining room.
Its best feature was a large balcony with table and several chairs, overlooking the beautiful Dovey estuary, and we naturally ate most of our meals out here, sitting in the warm sun watching the bay empty and re-fill with the tides.
When we had problems, as is inevitable in an older rented property, the proprietor responded promptly, and did all she could to resolve them and ensure that our stay was pleasant and memorable.
And in answer to the inevitable question: if we wanted to re-book a stay in the same area, would we choose the same property: an immediate and unquestioning YES.
