“Very clean, excellent location”
Reviewed July 11, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

location: beautiful scenary and area. The bungalow is quite high up (steep hills) and so the views from the balcony is amazing (can see the sea and the hills).

The beach is not too far away (about 10mins drive by car) and the beach is nice and clean.

Bungalow: when we arrived, all guests was quite impressed the place, it was very clean and the kitchen had all the utensils (from plates to pans, microwave to spoons to chopping board).

The only thing I can criticise is that the tap water was yellow/DISCOLOURED(although we was prepared for this having read the conditions provided by the place beforehand by email

“Fantastic.....would move here tomorrow.......”
Reviewed June 21, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Booked this with the "other half" for just 3 nights......we turned up on the Wednesday three days earlier......ok i got the dates wrong.....anyway....phoned the Holiday company and spoke to Steve who couldn't have been more helpful and found us alternative Bungalow on the same site for the 3 extra days before our rental at No 10 began......i cannot fault his help......AS I'm reviewing this bungalow here i won't mention the other one we stayed in on this review.......ANYWAY.........Place was spotless warm and a lovely environment to rest your head and relax after the action packed week we had....fantastic views....quiet and peaceful.....if I'm going to have one niggle it was the lack of a cork screw, can opener and a few other kitchen tools....but as the 'other half" thinks he is Bear Grylls we managed with a wooden spoon and a sharp knife......The water is brown and my only advice is to buy Cheap water from the nearest town....but its safe when boiled....The bungalow over all was bright and airy and comfortable and i would thoroughly recommend it....overall the surrounding area is beautiful and now I'm home I'm longing to go back...oh no internet service which in the end was a blessing and kept us away from the city life.....if your into Nature and wildlife you cannot go wrong.....cant wait to go back

“Disappointed Start”

Disappointment on arrival at number 10. We arrived to find that the bungalow had not been cleaned.I made a call to the mobile number provided at 4.30pm and had to leave an answerphone message advising them that it had not been cleaned and nor did we have clean bedding. I made another call at 6pm to which the maintenance man was very apologetic and brought us clean bedding within a few minutes. As we were preparing our evening meal, we felt it not good timing for any cleaning to be carried out now so we emptied the bathroom and kitchen bins using our own liners, and hoovered through. This was not a very nice start to our 1st wedding anniversary weekend away, as well as being 23 weeks pregnant. We came away for a relaxing break.

Once settled though, the bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. A very beautiful area to visit and found locals friendly and helpful.

“Nice and relaxing”

Nice and clean, well maintained, good location and wonderful view. Sufficient space for a family of four. Had initial hiccups with starting the boiler as the power switch was hidden behind, not clearly marked but the emergency contact person was very responsive and all sorted. It was coin operated meter (!) and didn't use it before so was bit apprehensive when will it stop. Kept some loose coins spared for requirements midnight, if any, but didn't need to use it after first £1.
There is no WiFi connection which is a shame. Phone connection is poor so bit difficult to use mobile data.
Little things like a mirror in the washroom, some toilet tissues, a bathroom floor mat would be nice additional amenities.

“Enjoyable stay, little things spoilt it sadly.”

My partner and I recently stayed at number 10 Plas Panteidal and overall were pleased with the accommodation. It is tidy, well catered for, but sadly doesn't take close inspection well: the bathroom is pretty grotty, especially around the shower tiles and the duvets were thin and one was stained. Ordinarily I would overlook such things but for a 4* standard I thought this quite poor. The views out onto the bay and surrounding landscape were beautiful but were obscured by the huge weeds which have been allowed to grow up around the windows. This is a real shame, but I realise it is difficult keeping on top of such things.

I'm not sure we would stay again, mainly because you have to drive everywhere: the beach is about 3 miles away, which, we would gladly have walked to, but there are no pavements between the bungalows and the beach and surrounding towns. This also meant we couldn't go for a stroll in the evening, unless you jumped in the car first.

Overall, this is a great place for families to stay who like spending all day at the beach and just use the bungalows as a base. The nearby town of Machynlleth is well worth a visit as it has some quirky bookshops, a modern art museum and lots of independent shops (as well as a couple of small supermarkets).

“Great location, OK property”

The location is top notch, very good views. The property itself is ok. Could be maintained better. We found it dusty and yes, the water is BROWN. We bought quite a number of big water bottles from the Coop in Tywyn. Dont miss the Aberdovey beach and Tywyn Raliway.
