2 night stay in July that would have had a better start had the online booking company informed the caretaker we were arriving on Friday 6th July.
Turned up to a chalet that had not been cleaned, linen missing and a shocking drive up the driveway. People should really be told about the drive up.
One call to the caretaker rectified the linen and lack of cleaning and he was very apologetic that he had not been made aware of our booking. Fortunately I had the paperwork/emails to hand.
Comfortable chalet that needs some attention. Ironing board from the 60's falling apart, dining table underneath in pieces and wouldn't open properly, extortionate electricity charges and a wobbly deck that felt unsafe.
Pictures on website deceiving as states stunning views across the Dyfi estuary but this is not the case as now obscured by trees. Yes I get that trees grow and in conservation areas, they can not be cut back but update the website to state this.
Not informed by booking company that water was on the verge of running out due to a lack of rain and what was left in the tank was a deep brown in colour. Caretaker kindly gave us 5 litres to use for tea, cooking etc.
Cleaning could have been better, dust and cobwebs, although floors, bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean. Linen was lovely as well, as were the beds. Very comfortable.
Injured my hand making the bed due to something sharp sticking out of the side of the bed.
Chalet has everything you need, just a few things need updating.
Apart from the track up everything was just what you need. Comfy bed too.Weather perfect. We actually are buying one of the houses we viewed so will be living in that area . So a great weekend all round.
We stayed for two nights. We loved it has everything you need for a perfect break away. The views are amazing, next time though I would like to stay in the summer to get the most out of the huge balcony. This was my mums first break in over 20 years and she loved it.
