“Wonderful meal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night and had a great meal. We first visited this restaurant last year and wanted to return on our second trip to Aberdovey, so glad we did. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and cannot to enough for you! The food is great, make sure you do not miss the Cajun chicken goujons and the goats cheese starters! My husband had steak which was a little overlooked for his liking but still enjoyed whilst I had the fisherman's pie which was delicious! All in all a lovely place for a meal out in Aberdovey!

“Steak and raw onions”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

We went to this resturant a few years back and the standard was fantastic, the best steak we had had for years. Then this May we thought we would repeat the experience. It was a complete turn around. The service was very slow, the staff seemed to be absorbed in their own thoughts and the food was below par. When you see steak and onions on the menu you expect a bit more than a few raw rings of onion thrown on. Very disappointed, we did not stay for pudding.

“Very pleasant on a rainy night”

This is a place of contrasts, busy downstairs bar with good beer and nice lively atmosphere and upstairs a nice smart restaurant with good value well cooked food.

“Good Effort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

Good food, a bit overpriced. service, although intentions were good, the staff have not made the transition from 'bar staff, to 'waiters'. It would be great if drinks could be served at the table...for some reason the staff are instructed to direct customers to the bar if they want drinks during their meal!?! Why, when the food is good (a major plus in this area) the dining area is modern and pleasant, do they want to make the customer work to spend money on the bar!!! I dont want to get up half way through my meal to 'get a round of drinks'. Still worth a visit though.
