Lovely Rooms, had a suite with a seaview. Staff always helpful. Restaurant had a tasty carvery on the Sunday and had a nice bar meal on the Saturday evening. Excellent value for money. Nothing was too much to ask for.

I had booked this hotel out through recomendation from a freind, however after reading the numerous reviews i was quite concerned to say the least! I had initially saught to stay elsewhere due to the large amount of complaints but at such short notice every where else was full and i am now glad that that was the case. When arriving there was private parking therefore not having to leve my car on the busy main road of seaton carew. I entered the hotel reception to be greeted by a young lady who was more then courteous as to hold the door whilst entering with my luggage, I was then greeted by the receptionist who seemed very jolly and vibrant, the check in procedure was fast and was more then happy to give me information regarding the area. I had booked a suite and what an exquisite, large room with a sea view, it was raining but where hasn't rained in the last few months and i was not here for the weather. The room was in pristine condition with plenty of ammenities and lounge facilities if i wanted to stay in my room. The hotel has bar facilities, with a large lounge area which was nicely decorted with taste, as well as having a in house restaurant, there was also bar meals available. I stayed here for 3 nights, twice eating in the restaurant and once eating in the bar and i did not have one complaint, there was plenty of choice on the main menu as well as having a snack menu and specials bourd. I couldnt even complain regarding the breakfast, it was a little bit greasy for my liking, however there was plenty of other choice such as cerials and others choices of cooked food to chose from. The staff, well in all honastly they were fantastic!!! all quite young, but were really polite and freindly. These young people should be given more credit as they worked their sox off to ensure that each individual was ok! and taking time to have a chat...which when your staying away from home( which i do very often through business) is what you like to see. The hotel has a very homely feel and a comfortable atmosphere i felt more than relaxed whilst staying at the marine hotel and would highly recommend the hotel to other collegues, contractors, couples and families.

We read the reviews after booking and were very worried!
Our room overlooked the beach and sea, it had a four poster bed and was lovely, clean, well stocked with tea coffe etc. The TV had Freeview there was a radio and a lovely clean ensuite. We had two breakfasts and two evening meals, they were all excellent and real value. The dinner menu had something for everyone and a wine list that was reasonably priced. The staff, most were young but all were polite, friendly and very helpful. We will definately be going back.
