Visited with husband and aged father. Good range of food on the menu all prices at about £8.95. Small light bite menu with same things as the main menu but a smaller portion is served at £5.95. I had the light bite steak and ale pie with chips and vege. The plate was normal size as far as I was concerned and did not look any different in size to my husband and dad's portions, from the ordinary menu, although they had different meals to me. Maybe the pie might have been bigger off the ordinary menu. The chips were lovely, home cooked, steak and ale pie lovely the vege fresh and not frozen, Coffee was filter coffee, and pub has a good choice of ales. For 2 main meals, one light bite, a coffee and a pint and half of beer the bill was £29, about average I'd say regarding price. Plenty of space between tables and ample seating, car park at the rear. Opens at noon for meals and serves up to 11pm I think. Would recommend for friends family and for a romantic meal with a partner. People next to us had desserts which looked like large pud portions so great if you like big puds!
