Fed the family with fish n chips, roast chicken and sausages. Fish was great, chips very good, chicken OK but a bit dried out. Stick to what they're good at. Service top notch

Called into the restaurant on our way home from a trip out on the motorbike on Sunday 11 August. We were all very hungry, and leathered up. The staff were completely "biker friendly" which in itself warrants a big tick (some places do not like bikers - we have even been turned away from places because of the fact we are bikers) The food however is something else! We ordered large fish chips peas and bread and butter all round. The service was quick and the waitress was very efficient and friendly. The food was awesome. The fish was so large that I could not eat it all, I have NEVER had a fish that big EVER. The batter melted in your mouth and the chips are proper chips. We staggered out of the restaurant with leathers well stretched. The restaurant is very clean, thus deserving the five star rating they have on the wall. We will certainly go again, but next time I will just get the small fish and chips. Keep up the good work Almighty Cod, and thank you.

The food in this place is awesome, friendly staff, very clean premises and a fantastic service. The fish was huge, white with the best batter ever. Will be back.

We ate in the restaurant on a Tuesday night and were very happy with out large fish and chips meal. The two waitresses were very pleasant and friendly, greeting us with a smile. The fish was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. We will definitely be back. The restaurant does close early, as other reviewers have said (when I rang to check they were open I was asked to be there by 7.15pm), but if what you want is hearty, freshly cooked fish and chips then this is the place. And yes, there is often a wait at busy times, but that is because the food is cooked to order.

Best fish and chips I have ever had, enormous fish and lots of tasty chips, not soggy, beautiful golden batter! Great value!
