“small but cosy restaurant”

there was not really a very good atmosphere due to the fact that there were only 2 tables in however the food was fantastic and the staff made up for this.

“Poor choices and still flavourless”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

I've been to many Thai restaurants in the past and was hoping to have some tasty aromatic food. What i received was the exact opposite! Perhaps it was my choice of Jungle Curry (w/Tofu), this dish had no flavour at all. It felt like boiled vegetables with a very light soup, probably added a quarter veg stock cube to it. The Sweet Chilli sauce provided with the dishes crackers and shrimp fritters was of the cheapest super market variety! After all that I thought I'd leave in a good mood so ordered dessert, the Baan Thai special. Not a complete disappointment but it was a little too sweet. The biscuit base was so soggy it was more like cake. I think they made this most basic of desserts at least 3 days ago and just pulled it out of the freezer when I asked.
All in all, very disappointed! Not worth the ~£20 I spent there! (And that was with a set, "Happy Hour", menu)
Service was at least friendly, and how could it not be? It was a vacant Monday evening, with almost no customers. Friendly nonetheless.

“Simply beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

By far the best Thai food I have tasted, simply delicious! Portion sizes very generous, good choice on menu. Selection of crackers and dip complimentary, nice touch. Happy hour very good value for money. Can be expensive any other time however, well worth it! Staff very friendly and polite always make you welcome. Fast becoming my favourite restaurant.

“good got better.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

visited with new in laws for our third visit. friendly welcome by staff. nice pace to the service and well presented.drinks topped up.portions could have been bigger asked for extra rice ,no problem. one fault was the chunks of pineapple not pieces in the duck curry...one comment made was that under the new owners john & saw " good got better" with which we all agreed.
